I'm very pleased with the Rebellion GNs too.  It's wonderful to see things everyone has requested (like Stainless Steel Rat) coming out, and I'll certainly be buying Meltdown Man even though I have the recent(ish) Extreme Editions.

I do think however that it's important to mention these printing faults when we see them.  Hopefully it helps Rebellion if they plan reprint runs (e.g. the American line), and it also lets them know where their own processes might be falling down.  They obviously care a lot about the product and would've corrected the errors if they'd found them early enough.

I put it down to a lack of manpower.  From comments made by Craig and others it doesn't seem there are huge teams dedicated to the task.  And it's not like they're littered with errors - we're not all sat here saying "Phew - only 17 mistakes in this new volume!"

Soup cans? SOUP CANS?! You, sir, are a philistine!  ;-)

Well, I suppose if it was good enough for Warhol it must be classy!

The other toy lines are based on Wood's other comics-WWR, Popbot etc.

Pardon my ignorance, but who is Wood?  The only Wood I can think of is Wally Wood (early EC artist) and I'm sure it's not him!

Thanks for clarifying Ming.  I most want a Rogue figure but am also very keen to get Tharg, Dredd and Alpha at least.

The original run Tharg was very good, but looking over the other figures 3A produces I can't see what their appeal is.  There is some great detail on some of them but others just look like old soup cans in capes to me (though beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that).  Do they relate to established characters in other comics/movies/TV shows/RPGs?  Or is it a just being into 3A kind of thing?

Don't forget the ABC Warriors title that had "The Thrid Element" printed on the spine!

I also recall one of the Robohunter books had two pages in the wrong order ("Play it Again, Sam"?) - a bit of a "Wha--?" moment but soon worked out.

Once a toy is made and sold out (or sold to a pre-determined number and then made), that's it - no revisiting of previous toys.

Does that mean the cheaper-run updated logo Tharg won't happen?

I have to say the silliest thing about any of the 2000AD progs I've read is how often enemies talk about an opponent's prowess out loud while fighting him. Very...Stan Lee.

That always seemed par for the course with war comics to me ("Gotten Himmel!  These Englanders fight like madmen!") not to mention the stream-of-consciousness babble they use to let us in on their thoughts - if Dredd's going to use his boot knife, he'll shout "Boot knife!" as he's doing it.  Plus it always helps big up the character - "That's enough of me talking about myself, now it's your turn to tell me how good I am."

Helm, Bagman, Gunnar and Rogue?

Works for me. After all, they probably were never given real names and either defined themselves by those roles, as they had nothing else or were named along those lines by the Genies - what easier way to keep track of who was going to do what?

I think Leigh has nailed it.

Though I still have a niggling worry that "Traitor General" was the guy's actual name.

"Excuse me, General Traitor-General, you're not thinking of selling out to the Norts, are you?"
"Why no, Lieutenant Gullible."
"Oh!  Carry on then!"

Yes, he was the pawnbroker who hands over the package with the Lawgiver to Rico.

Is it my imagination or is the Dredd badge a photo of the Termight Replicas replica?

Lady F also mentioned somewhere there was a short story comp with a 6 word limit (!)  :o which was won by the entry "For Sale. Baby Shoes. Never worn"

Alan Moore wrote a six word story:

If you knew anything about Cam's situation, you'd hopefully realise how fucking tastless that last sentence really is.

My apologies if I've offended anyone.  I'm a huge Cam Kennedy fan (particularly on Rogue) and have nothing but respect, admiration and gratitude for the man.

Thanks TordelBack and mygrimmbrother for taking it in the spirit intended.

The "Pre-emptive Revenge" audio drama is set in the Radlands of Ji, isn't it?

More Rogue!  Yes!

Does this mean they'll have to do a new Rogue Trooper casefiles to include it in?

Tharg, just give Cam Kennedy a wodge of A3 or larger and tell him one panel a page!  That should take care of any eyestrain troubles.
