I wonder if CF22 is being reprinted because of the John Burns content.  We're also getting a Wham! title two months earlier, in June 2024, wholly illustrated by John Burns.

Same here.  It will be interesting to read some real Robot Archie.

Lawless Book Five: Ballots Over Badrock - Paperback, 128 pages, 1st August 2024

VOTE METTA FOR BETTA!

As Marshal of Badrock, Metta Lawson saved the town she has come to love from being annihilated by the corrupt corporation Munce Inc., established it as a thriving haven of free trade, and brokered an uneasy peace with the enigmatic Zhind race. Now, having resigned her position as Marshal, Metta faces a new kind of fight, a political battle for the mayorship of Badrock.

But without Metta enforcing the law, things aren't looking good for Badrock. The mysterious Mr Roke continues to establish a hold over the citizens of the town through his protection racket, the town's major employer, Getz, is conducting shady experiments with potentially disastrous consequences, and the SJS continues to work to undermine the fragile balance that Lawson managed to establish before her resignation.

Quote from: dan200 on 09 November, 2023, 10:56:09 AMI'm assuming this is just the Apex editions reduced to a size than can actually fit on a bookshelf? If so: I'm interested.

One e-tailer is listing the dimensions as 30.6cm x 23.2cm.

Current Amazon UK price: £27.59

Oh, I really like that.  I'd order it too, but I've already pre-ordered the standard version elsewhere to take advantage of a discount code.  I wish they'd put these up at the same time the listings get released to/by retailers.

Though it does look like Dredd is hopping over the rings.

I can't find my son's brilliant Resyk animation but here's another he did years ago, using a Stickman animation program... aged 12.

Quote from: Trooper McFad on 26 November, 2023, 12:22:18 PMThat would be fantastic to see "double" days

I've found a readable drive of my old submissions.  I can double every day if you want!  Mind you, it's pretty ropey stuff.  It also has my list of unused ideas.  This quick sample of the unused stuff will give you an idea of just how ropey:

Idea 16:
"Dredd, Judge Smedley is refusing to get in the sleep machine."
"Book him for resisting a rest."

Idea 23:
Nikolai Dante with mistletoe sticking out of his trouser waistband.
(Ahem. No idea what that could have been about.)

Idea 35:
Chopper (looking at the Mekon on his tiny flying hoverboard): "You're never going to win a Supersurf on that old thing."

Idea 41: Tharg's Naughty Bookshop
A list of titles with bits crossed out to make them more suggestive:
"Judge Dredd: The Hunting Party" > "Judge Dredd: The ****ing Party"
"Nikolai Dante: The Sword of the Tsar" > "Nikolai Dante: The ***** of the Tsar"
Steve McManus > Steve McM**** (or, classic misdirect, S**** McManus)
"Chopper" > "Chopper"
etc.

Idea 49: Ho-Ho-Hogue Trooper: Don't get on his Norty list.  [Plasma grenades on Bagman's straps are Christmas puddings with holly etc]

Idea 57: In Death Lives, Bolland draws a spread of the dark judges.  Fear has his hands flopped down.  Add a fez and a magic wand and a caption saying the other DJs always picked on him for being a Tommy Cooper fan.  Fear: "Jus' like that!"

Idea 58: Dredd's Army - animated Dad's Army spoof with East Meg arrows (as drawn by King Carlos in part 25 of Apoc War) snaking into MC1.  "Who do you think you are kidding, Mad Dog Kazan.../You may think you've brought us to our doom/but there's a secret tunnel under Fargo's tomb..."" etc.

Never had the quality so always had to go for quantity.  I can't see I'll get around to doing any of these so there you go.

There has never before been an anti-hero like Hellman of Hammer Force in British comics!

From the invasion of Poland in 1939 through to the fall of Berlin in 1945, Hellman of Hammer Force saw action on many fronts, and this collection contains all the hard-hitting war stories told through the eyes of Hellman which were published in Battle from 1977 through to 1978.

This ground-breaking series of thrilling combat is written by Gerry Finley-Day (Rogue Trooper) and drawn by Mike Dorey (Ro-Busters) and Patrick Wright (Day of the Eagle).

Now to be released as "Downfall", with this evocative cover.
