M@, a similar thing happened to me last December: my PC died, I dumped everything from the external drive onto my laptop, and two days later the external drive went kaput.

So now I probably go a bit overboard: I back-up my data onto two external drives on an hourly basis, I do weekly back-ups onto a completely separate drive, and I also back-up onto my other PC and my laptop. Plus there's CD-Roms and whenever I finish a draft of a book I zip it up and mail it to my Gmail account. Just in case...

I've always loved this guy and I'm really enjoying the new show. "Turn off your Poison Socket" was one of the funniest things I've seen in ages.

My copy's just arrived, three days late because of the postal strike!

Wow... It's been a very long time since there's been an issue without Judge Dredd! In recent years there's been quite a few episodes where Dredd takes a back seat to the plot and only appears in a brief cut-away scene, but I don't remember him actually being absent. Weird! There's not even a single picture of a judge in the entire strip!

Did anyone else find this a little jarring?

Peterwolf... I reckon it's a sundial turned on its side.

Either that, or it's a gateway to another dimension. I'm always getting those two confused.

Both of mine are metal, but I saw a plastic one years ago (and stupidly didn't buy it).

I quite like that Dredd - it's a lot better than the recent work produced by a certain highly overrated long-time Dredd artist (you know the one I mean: he now produces ugly flat-looking minimalist cartoons instead of the high-quality artwork we used to get in the old days).
