Version 1.01 of Mike's Superhero Name Generator is now on-line, featuring slightly expanded lists and new algorithms for putting the names together... Plus! Alliteration! Yes, now you can force the names to be alliterative!

My favourite name so far: Europium Desperado (though it's closely followed by Puppy-Boy and Frightening Fly).

(I can't guarantee that all - or indeed any - of the names generated will be any good... But you never know!)

It's available now on my lovely website: http://www.iol.ie/~carrollm!

Mike did you prep that Twinkle cover this morning? That's brillant.

Glad you like it, Colin! I did it yesterday afternoon - it took about an hour. Of course, it would have taken a lot longer if I'd bothered to draw the figures myself...!

Wow - honourable mention! Go me!  :)

Well done to CraveNoir, Uncles Fester and Kevlev - and to everyone who participated! This competition has been tremendous fun - both to watch and in which to participate - and I reckon it'll go down in history. Future biographers will single out this competition as a pivotal moment in the life and times of more than one world-famous comic creator!
Benton's narration tells us that "Everyone over the age of twenty-one was to be eliminated." But in the final panel we see that he used a '<' (less-than symbol) instead of a '>' (greater-than symbol).
My votes...

I've been back and forth over these entries all weekend - I just love them all so much, especially mine.

My favourites are daBhuna's and CraveNoir's, but annoyingly I can't vote for either because I'm involved (to a small degree) in their creation.

1. Leigh Shepherd - I want that Strontium Dog annual, and I want it NOW!
2. Uncle Fester 02 - my new wallpaper!
3. Bolt-01 and Minibolt - if RoboHunter is ever to return, Bolt should get the job. That pic of Kidd is absolutely spot-on!

Honourable mention: .Woolly - that's worthy of being a cover, that is!

Glad the Future Shock seems to have gone down well... I haven't seen it yet myself (the postie doesn't deliver on Saturdays here in Ireland, so I have to wait until Monday). Is it true that it's a six-page script as Mr Wells says? I wrote it as a five-pager! (And does that mean that Tharg owes me for a page?)

Cheers,

Assuming Jim's challenge isn't the sole motivating factor, I'd love this to be an ongoing thread elsewhere.

I'm with you on that one, Eric. This is my favourite thread ever!

As for your submission, Cravenoir... What can I say? That is just breathtaking! (And a great honour - thank you!)

Arrgh! FINALLY manage to get on-line and it's too late for my last-minute entry!

Or is it?

Well, here it is anyway!

(If it's too late for the compo, that's cool... I think I've submitted more than my fair share this time around!)

Nice idea Mike! But why were you up at half four in the morning???

That's just about my usual bedtime - but don't worry, I got a good four hours' sleep!
