(In my head I have a cover image of Cap's shield with three Wolverine claw scars on it - but this is such an obvious idea that it must already exist.)
I think it's been done a few times:

The Man in the High Castle. Just started Season Two. I dunno, it's an odd one, this. Some lovely performances and a hauntingly good opening credits sequence but I don't know why I'm sticking with it. Like a lit firework that's just sitting there I don't know whether it's going to erupt or not - it seems to be always on the verge of amazing but never seems to actually do much.

And I loooove Deadworld - the only thing that grates slightly is the sarcastic bike computer (I mean ... why?)
That's one of the best bits about it IMHO!
Same here.
Malfunctioning A.I is the concept I guess.
I like it, it adds a little levity to the otherwise grim proceedings.

The future shock was good, especially the art. Looks like the Thoughtbubble competition can provide a good source of new talent for the comic (see for instance what Tom Foster had to say about it at his 40th panel.)

I haven't been a fan of Warren Ellis work since then though. I think he can be guilty of decompressing his stories (probably not the right expression). He can take four issues to tell something that another writer might do in one.
