Does anyone ever look what guests are viewing on this forum and wonder what random google search prompted that click? There are currently 2 people viewing a two-post thread about a metal festival 14 years ago!

He's now claiming that he was being sarcastic to wind up the media.

So that's alright then.

Not really a cover, but the best Rammstein video ever (no, not that one!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpQvTWSx0G0

Hello folk.

So I have overplayed the last Green Lung album (fantastic as it is) and now I'm looking for some good rock suggestions (mainly fuzzy stoner bands). Got Asteroid, Atomic Bitchwax, F£&k the Fitzroy Doom Scene, Gorilla Pulp, Lowdrive, The Marlboro Men, Monstroid, Mothership, Nebula, Orange Goblin, Red Fang, Roadsaw, Solace, The Sword, Truckfighters, Unida and Conan already.

Any more suggestions? Ta.

Oh god I'm old.

When I read those monthly listings for music venues in Manchester these* days it's like:
Never heard of them
Never heard of them
Never heard of them
Never heard of them
Never heard of them
OH MY GOD ARE THEY STILL ALIVE ?
Never heard of them
Never heard of them

*these? those? It will come back right? I'd give anything to be drinking overpriced JD in a sweaty cellar hearing some art school dropouts sing about their fucking angst

In the film 24 Hour Party People, many old stars made cameos in incidental roles, but only one artist actually played themself - who?
A:
Rowetta of the Happy Mondays
Music links - what connects the following (best with clips):
(Anything by) T'Pau, Duran Duran and Moloko (A:
all named after sci-fi TV or movies - Star Trek, Barbarella and Clockwork Orange
)
(Anything by) Motorhead, Noel Gallagher and 2pac Shakur (A:
All started out as roadies - for Jimi Hendrix, The Inspiral Carpets and Digital Underground
)

I once did a successful music round with duets - name the song and both artists. Can't remember them all, but could include Bowie & Bing Crosby; Time Zone by Time Zone (Afrika Bambaata & John Lydon - very obscure (and awesome) song but one very recognizable voice) and many others. If I was doing it today, I'd also definitely include an audio clip of THIS

If I can find my old notebook, I've got some good ones.

ooh good one. Any particular subjects and what difficulty level - if it was on TV, are we talking The Chase or Only Connect?

Excalibur

I hadn't seen this in years.
It doesn't feel as epic as it did when I was 10 and it all looks a bit cheap.
There's still lots to like about it though. Merlin in particular is great.
I reckon this would really benefit from a remaster as the dvd version I watched was very spotty and the sound was all over the place.

I love that film. Nicol Williamson is indeed fabulous. Not to mention Helen Mirren and Cherie Lunghi! *sigh*

Episode 118 finds me chatting with Stacey Dutton-Whittle about a Dredd classic, The Pit. We also discuss her Whittle Waflle youtubes and hubby Mark's Within the Woods blog.

Listen in at:

Looking forward to the spin-off: Eli seems like an inspired choice to talk about Kenny Who?
Yeah and America should give him a good understanding of Dredd as the 'hero'. Sadly his hardcore dredd-induction will be without much Ezquerra for ages, so he may never appreciate Carlos as Conrad and Fox do.

People always thought hares were magical - they are the only mammals who can conceive whilst already pregnant, and many of the myths and legends (across multiple cultures) relate to Spring, fertility and rebirth. Maddy Prior taught me that!

took me a while to work it out - IIRC the discount option doesn't show up until the very last stage of the payment confirmation, so you may have bailed a step too early

This is quite cool - go to www.radio.garden/live and you'll see a map of the world with lots of green dots - every one is a radio station - just click on them to listen in to radio all over the world.
