I'm in Lanzarote- due to fly home tomorrow but first 2 confirmed cases yesterday's at our resort. Jet2 flights have been turning back to UK mid flight but Ryanair don't seem to give a $%*#

I would happily be trapped here or have some self isolation back home, even if if unpaid. I just don't want to go to work on Monday  :(

I'm off to Lanzarote in the morning and I've got a hacking (smoker's) cough - shouldn't have trouble getting a seat at the airport!

I'm more worried about Ryanair still being in business in a week's time than catching the bug.

This season did go a bit Chibnally in places but was a HUGE improvement on the last one.

I didn't know Colin had done Conan so I'll add that to my wishlist

I was once pleasantly surprised to find his work in a Capt America vs Iron Man collection.

How did the Judoon teleport into the Tardis? I thought that was not allowed.

It is at Christmas - cf Donna & The Titanic.

I got no problems with the new canon, but if the "Ruth" Doctor is actually pre-Hartnell, why was her Tardis a police box?

And I may need to rewatch to understand the explanation of what the Gard Brendan bits were about. Am I right that
they are a disguised version of her pre-Hartnell memories of service in the Division? If so, are they just her own subconscious interpretations or did someone actively decide to use mid C.20th rural Ireland to mask her memories?
2000AD Prog 212: "Death to the Norms!" The Mutant Army is on the march – inside!

More mutie mahem!

The perp runners story features one of my favourite lines when Dredd starts shooting up the place and tells all the aliens to run or die: "The humes gone nuddly! run for your lives!"

Don't  underestimate some Americans willingness to fight and die to deny the possibility of someone curing them for free.

I had the same confusion - it only asks for the code several steps in.

I bought £180 of books for £90 when drunk, and I don't know if I should be ashamed for the spontaneous splurge, or proud of the great savings.

Reminds me of the classic 50s New Yorker cartoon of the housewife coming home with an armful of parcels saying "guess how much I saved in the sales today"

truly arsomTM news. We shouldn't have to fight tooth and nail with the agencies that are supposed to be supporting us, but so often we do. Glad your brother's doing better and he's lucky to have a good advocate fighting his corner.

And congrats on finding your rare CD - gotta take time out for some personal indulgence to keep yourself sane.

just read his wiki page and did not understand 98% of the amazing things that he thunk up, but thank the creator that we have brains like those occasionally.
