Don't need to post a comprehensive review, as Tordelback's said pretty much everything I was going to say, so just a few comments.

The cover's not getting much love this week, but I like it. Could do without the Frankie Goes to Hollywood quote though.

As for the muties in Dredd, they may be leaving the township in this episode, but they've recently arrived from the Midwest, not the city - he refers to himself as the Duke of the Cleveland Spoils and mentions the Witch Woman of Akron - both in Ohio. Brilliant to see Cliff back on art, I love his style. I'm even growing to like the banana-shaped shoulder pads, which used to annoy me.

After reading Disraeli's blog, I studied every panel of Stickleback looking for potential references, but didn't fine one!

ABC Warriors just makes me weep - this used to be one of my favourite all-time strips but these days I find the plots nonsensical, the jargon ridiculous (inf-lation? Puh-lease!  ::)) and I just don't care about the characters any more. The art is pretty, but sometimes confusing.

The letters are crying out for a good slagging mature and thoughtful review. Buttonman?

What the deal with your forum picture, Jaysus.

I thought the moving eyes were always better.

Oi, I'm the only dude with moving eyes round these parts!

I'm experiencing deja vu - I swapped to Firefox last year when there was a widely reported story (discussed on this forum) about dodgy security in IE, and I've found it to be very good. If IE wasn't pre-installed on virtually all PCs, I don't think anyone would be using it at all.

Mother Superior - martini with prune instead of olive.

Oh THAT's going to go down well with a young crowd eager to explore the sophisticated world of cocktails...  :D

Last week, in an effort to finally watch the tail end of Battlestar Galactica, I ordered Razor, Season 4 and The Final Season. Imagine my surprise when I discovered Razor is actually on disc 1 of the Season 4 box set, rendering the standalone disc rather pointless. Cockbiscuits. Ah well, at least I only paid three quid-odd for it.
Freaky coincidence time - I just ordered the season 4 and final season box sets today, I hadn't heard of Razor and almost ordered that too, but checked the customer reviews and found it was included. I almost ordered Galactica 1980 by mistake though, cos it seemed to have a picture of the new ship on the cover. Then I actually noticed the date in the title.

I've just today got to the end of a marathon trawl through seasons 1-3, and now I'm off to cut the corners off all my books and papers.

Its asking a bit much, but don't suppose you'd be able to let me know how i go about just changing their tops, basically substituting what they're wearing with a different colour?. And then putting the badges on their chests?

I'm no expert and often do things the longer and harder way, but if I had to do this I'd create another layer and simply overpaint their clothes. Starfleet tunics (original series?) are very simple one-colour efforts, so unless the original image below has any sticky-out bits that would show beyond the edges of a painted shirt, it should be fairly easy. Than at the end, flatten all the layers into one image.

Couldn't agree more. I have no complaint about including a free separate reprint comic (in fact it's often the best thing about the Meg some months), but I do feel that the description is misleading - it's a fat comic, NOT a graphic novel.

And I know what you mean about seeing them lined up on your shelves. I got more annoyed than I probably should have when a couple of the Civil War books (punisher and new avengers I think) did not have the same cover and spine design, so they don't make a homogeneous set on the shelf. Petty I know, but....

I was musing about the impracticalities of the undercity during the current run of Tempest. He finds a tall building that reaches up to the concrete "roof", ie city-bottom. But if 'ground level' for Mega City 1 is a couple of dozen stories above sea level, how does that work along the Atlantic? In fact, creating a huge concrete lid over an existing city, rather than demolishing it is just insane!

I've just checked back at the very first excursion down below, the Troggies story in Casefiles 01, and that's far more sensible - only the old subway tunnels were concreted over, not whole skyscrapers.

Which doesn't really answer your question I'm afraid, but I'm home poorly and very bored, and it got me thinking.

I gave up Eastenders when Dirty Den came back from the dead. Caught an episode lately and thankfully had no idea (or desire to know) who anybody was. It felt quite a relief, like an addict who's kicked the habit or an alcoholic who can finally go out to the pub without needing a drink.

If anything happened to my beloved Corrie on the other hand....

The kitchen/bathroom work is progressing slowly - I've found out why it's scheduled to take so long - it's because there's one job per day scheduled, that all need to be done in order. Sometimes they show up at 8 and the job only takes half an hour and that's it for the day. None of the workmen know anything about any of the other workmen or jobs and the system seems to be breaking down already (it's only day 4).

Today was supposed to be demolishing the brick and concrete built-in cupboards, but they sent a joiner who was expecting to be ripping out kitchen units (which was done on day 1). Just as well really, as I'm off work feeling like death and was not looking forward to drilling and chiselling all day. They may be back later, it's anybody's guess.

Don't get excited. I've had a look, and there are no presents.

WHERE ARE THE PRESENTS?  >:(

I feel misled by that banner. And no, the satisfaction of helping the community is NOT a present. Money, cakes and alcohol are presents.
