Dunno about publishing but you can always ask for artists on the Artdroids yahoo group and this message board of course.

Great art of course but the trouble I have with this kind of thing is the reliance on people pointing guns at each other every page. The good thing about Tarantino is people usually react realistic i.e. vulnerable with guns around which adds to the drama and put it above dumb Rambo type action.

Still, it's not superheros so good for Diggle and Jock if he's made it a success, just wish there's a bit more human drama.

I was com[pletely wrong, here's the story from a Dickens web site:

"Anti-Semitism, ingrained into English society at the time Oliver Twist was written (1837), manifest itself in Dickens' depiction of Fagin. Dickens expressed surprise when the Jewish community complained about the stereotypical depiction of Fagin. Later, when Dickens sold his London residence, Tavistock House, to a Jewish couple, whom he befriended, he was compelled to make restitution. In his novel, Our Mutual Friend, Dickens created Riah, a positive Jewish character. Dickens also, when editing Oliver Twist for the Charles Dickens edition of his works, eliminated most references to Fagin as "the Jew".

Ironically I believe Dickens actually created Fagin because he felt bad about a jewish character he wrote in an earlier novel (which was very derogitory) and was trying to maked amends with Fagin who was a more kindly jew.

I remember in about 92 there was an episode where they all went camping and unfortunately fried up some halucinatory mushrooms.

"hat is indeed the Hobgoblin, absolutely love the stuff. Got a great pub in Canterbury called... The Hobgoblin! Perfect place to spend Sunday afternoon (and Evening)"

Are you near me then? I often go to The Hobgoblin in Canterbury, especially to see my buddy Luke Smith do his piano stuff on the first Monday of every month (sometimes play bass with his too).

I know they have a Hobgoblin in High Wycombe too.

I liked the way when he had his first baby coming, unlike anyone else who would have said: "Okay, that's it for my pipe dreams, time to get a sensible job", Moore decided to quit his job immediately to become a comics writer.

Moore and his family was also in 1-page strip he wrote and drew himself in Heartbreak Hotel comic, about his adventures in America. I think also if memory serves me right there was a panel of Swamp Thing where the artistdrew what he thought Alan would probably look like.
