I've not seen very much anime regrettably.

I wish I knew more of the culture that fules some of the common theames.

I have seen some, the classic Akira, Full Metal Alchamist, Bleach, Ghost in the Shell...

so I thought I'd come up with a quiz..

No idea but this poster so sums up my life at the moment!

Dylan Teagues artwork is superb and the story's great too but it was Paul J Holdens work on the japa-manga-anime influenced JohnnyWoo that sealed the deal with Satan for me.

I'm always amazed you get it done so well and so quickly. I'd be still on the first panel by the time you've all finished. 

Hope Uncle Fester and Lady Festina have many happy days together.

They're very good. Going through a truly awful time at the moment and this has lifted my spirits somewhat.

I used to read it a lot but it seemed to just dissapear. Maybe they should have made it an online magazine to save some money. Sorry to hear of it's demise. 

Er, picked it up ? I stole zarjazzers version while he was marinading in alchol.

Anyway my review of FLU is very positive. Set in Belfast, where surely the dead still  extract a price upon the living several disperate characters find themselves battling to stay alive against undead zombie hordes,their own prejudices and each other.

The authorites in the shape of the Police and the Army attempt to quarentine the infected but the FLU epidemic spreads quickly and only the armed [Police, Ex IRA] and the quick [ petty criminals,young women ] really stand a chance holding out in various houses while the zombies wander the streets outside.

Meanwhile a horrifying experiment inside a Military Base grows towards fruition.

Themes of revenge, guilt for past misdeeds and hope for redemption in the shape of a possible cure for the FLU make it all a good read.

Some caution should be given though as there is inevitably some gorey bits and an attempted sexual assault though I hasten to add that this is a horror story. I  didn't feel there were too many graphic descriptions that would induce retching in anyone.

So buy-or die!

I'm reading it now and it's fantastic!

Computer is infected with something nasty. Repair guys seem fairly positive but what was supposed to take a couple of days already stretching into a week. Bah!

Was thinking about going this year but a thousand and one other worries have conspired to make it a no no.

My regular computer has a virus which is proving very troublesome to remove, work is even more draining than normal as we're understaffed and I haven't got any work as such to show anyway so have fun folks.
