1: You need these for a school/college project.

2: We have but one life and can choose to waste it on the most frivolous items.

3: Our corrupt, lamentable, capitilist system will fail without my purchasing power to
  save it.

Speaking of dark things here's a pre digital inking of a Lunar Wolf SpaceMarine ala Warhammer 40,000. Very gory. Forgot I put it on my photobucket account yonks ago. I intended to re-draw it embellishing it a lot more but I don't think I'll find the time now.

Might need a little editing with the old crop tool but you can see it in all it's unvarnished glory.

Territoriality seems to be a human condition that has never really dissapeared. If you and your kith or kin outnumber others you can dominate that area by sheer weight of numbers alone and can therefore order the world to suit your interests or prejudices even.

Is that not the nature of human power since we first began creating civilizations, remaking the enviroment to our own liking?

Some more contentious theories about civilizations origins have rejected the hunter gather to collective farming hypothesis believing instead that organized violence, warfare was the trigger for settled communities. You bully one group into becoming farmers who grow the crops to feed the Army so it can go raiding, gathering more booty, territory and subject peoples to do the dirty work for you  [slaves.]

Er, I'm probably going to vote Lib Dem. Not that I believe a word they say but it's them or the Tories so my territorial prejudice and self interest would be better served by a Nick Clegg administration. How selfish of me, eh?

Civilization indeed. ;)

I assume you'd have to post it from the United States but I don't think that there's any Anti American bias at 2000AD. Basically any story sent gets put on the slush pile and if your lucky someone reads it but they get a lot of submissions and don't always get time to read them.

i DID hear that the old publishers often took submissions from the slush pile to read on the loo but whether that's just a comic book urban legend I couldn't tell you!

Oh yeah. Welcome aboard the mad ship that is the 2000AD forum.

It's cod psychology time. Dr System is on more Lucazade and diazapan than's good for him but here goes.

The house represents the coming general election. Yet you staticgirl, the prospective voter feel cut off from the proceedings hence the closed gate. The birds represent your wishfulfillment to fly away from this dark picture but -No you can't escape! Or vote either.

Oh the humanity! :D :geek:

Interesting doodle looks like a wood cut or an engraving. Very dark though I keep thinking of HP Lovecraft the tenctacular curve on the tree trunks by the left side of house [from our p.o.v] really seem to give it a grasping hand look. Creepy looking house. Closed off dark sky too. The Icelandic volcano effect maybe?
Spooky.
