All the Stronts in the Doghouse, the burning skeleton and his resurrection plus some action and the two impressive leads. It really was like a Carlos Ezquerra comic come to life so congrats to all who took part in this movie. 'Hey, Buddy!'

I  like the suggestion that Burnham is either half Vulcan or raised on Vulcan which has left her with 'issues' perhaps a slight inferiority complex. The logical, Vulcan culture she appears to have been raised in is going to come into conflict with the emotional, Human part of her nature so you've got an internal conflict within the lead which sounds intriguing. She does get angry about her Captains refusal to attack an enemy because 'the Federation doesn't fire first' which might point to a more hard Trek away from the TOS and TNG 's more 'live and let live' philosophy. Still, one promo is hardly a lot to judge an entire series on but it looks interesting and  I'll reserve judgement till I've seen a few episodes.

Man, Steven that's a great piece of work and about a character, I don't really care for. Really bloody good!

Stories written for boys 40 years ago are hardly going to contain satirical revelations about today's society. Still, Lawmaster on the loose does stick in my memory as an episode that showed the Judges could be as dangerous as the crims. 'Thank God you Judges are here to protect us!' says one of the run over Citizens to an indifferent Judge Dredd which is for my money a little wry to say the least. Anyway back to the blind watchmakers trying to predict something that is two years away at least. Face changing machines anyone?

This is a very sad news. He was a very talented singer and songwriter so misery and again so young.

I don't think they'll be any robots, mutants or aliens as they're expensive to make and this is a TV show. Budgets must limit the scale inevitably till it's judged a success. Still, that leaves plenty of storylines available to the creators and it's more than likely they have their own ideas since they'd hardly take on the expense of producing a TV series without some game plan in mind.

Sorrowful news about Edmund Bagwell. Another great talent who has left us well before his time. :o His Indigo Prime stuff, in particular, was some of the most original looking art in Toothy. Beautiful line work and colours. What sad news.

He was in Southern Comfort by Walter Hill. Always remember him in that movie and the recently departed Bill Paxton's Frailty. So sorry he's gone.

£19 million in Vid sales more than the film made in the USA box office. I heard that people rediscovered it on Vid and those figures confirm it. Well good.

They say they have a team of writers already. Could any of them be Scribe Droids or those that have previously worked for 2000AD? I think David Bishop did some TV scripts for the Beeb show Doctors and I'm sure others have done Television production stuff. Would Rebellion or whoever is producing the storylines decide that toothy scribe droids might get the first crack at the screenplays? Or is it that the Production already has script writers who specialise in writing television storylines and toothy staff just get a look at their characters suggesting changes where they believe necessary?
