I think, though not 100% sure, that through some curious turn of events, Lion and Tornado now belong to DC comics.

I'd love a complete set of 2000AD on DVD or CD - it wouldn't stop me buying the graphic novels (I'd still pick up things I'd like)

Wouldn't worry about it too much, never been a big problem for me.
(Although these days I will draw the new bit on a different sheet of paper and then scan it in and stick it on the page in photoshop)

I wouldn't worry about how fast your drawing is until you're trying to make money from drawing - in which case faster is better. All artists work at different speed.
