If you ever get the chance, you might find some really cool Judge Dredd movie scripts floating around the internet (I think they were posted here at one point), I'd love to see who'd you'd suggest for casting in a Dredd Movie.

My point wasn't that it's been done before (Alan Moore is guilty of that on more than one occasion) my point was that it's been done before BY 2000AD which is one reason, I assume, why 2000AD wouldn't want to run it - also *I* wasn't passing any judgement on it at all. (Hey, I liked it)

I'm certain Ade is unaware of it, but, IIRC 2000AD has already published a near identical future shock some years ago (alien civilisation encounter astronaut after terrible accident - they fix his space ship and fix him ... accept the they think they're one and the same thing)

Hi, the bestest thing about Dredd in the whole world is that ... well... you can pretty much make all of it up. Judge - Tutors are nearly all Judges that have had serious injuries impairing their ability to work the streets - so, you know, robot legs, artificial chins, that sort of thing. In normalish judge uniforms (but even then you have total free reign, why not have a cape? two eagle shoulders? some sort of extra arm? nothing that says you can't). As far as the academy is concerned, as long as it looks like a Judge building (big muther-luvin' Judge Eagle on the front, for example) you can pretty much get away with anything.

Personally, I think it's one of the things that keeps Dredd fresh, a Bolland Judge-tutor will look nothing like a McMahon judge-tutor who will look nothing like an Ian Gibson Judge Tutor.

Don't get too hamstrung on the details and enjoy it!

Won't be available in the States for about six or seven months. Who knows when we'll see it in the UK.

BTW: doesn't have a camera.

Does look amazing (especially the interface) but the price points means I'll wait to my apple mate to get one and lust after it for a few years before I actually buy one.

In the early days of Dredd his elbow pads would change colour frequently - it was always a point of confusion for me when I was about 9.
