Shouldn't be too long!

(Seen lettered proofs for issue 4 too, they look great!)

I've blogged some old behind the scenes monsterology art on my my blog today http://www.pauljholden.com/blog

(Said it loads already: Jim did a Stirling job. And because I feel like I haven't sung his praises enough: Steve's colouring has been pretty great too!)

I have no details on specific stores, but I know that diamond asked Renegade to top up their order seven times - SEVEN.

We're still in the first print, and it's unlikely we'll need a second print, but it suggests that diamond have been getting stores asking for issues and diamond haven't been that on the ball about getting their numbers right...

In monsterology related news:  publisher wants to go ahead on a second four issue mini series.

So next year... There'll be more...

(In the meantime, please tell everyone you know about the book!)

Personally, I think the Marvel Unlimited thing is a really good deal - paying in advance works out to be under a fiver for all the (marvel) comics you can read, news stuff added every week. It's always at least six months behind what's on the shelves, and there's SO much stuff there that it can be difficult to find your feet on where to start, but there's lots and lots of good stuff.  (Like two issues of Avengers assemble by Al Ewing, the second of which has a real feel of early Alan Moore Captain Britain stuff with lots of great moments and some inspired UK new superheroes...)

Help! / Re: Forests in Comics or Comic Forests?

Becky Cloonans self published books have some glorious looking b&w natural stuff, forests and water are particularly well rendered.

I realise we all buy into the conceit of Tharg, but, to be honest, this is going to get tiresome very fast*

Anyone who bought the digital comic should have got an email telling them there's a new high res file available. Should look great in either PDF or cbz...

Audible sell them individually and do a monthly 7.99 thing where you can buy any single book for 1 credit (and you get 1 credit per month).

For some inexplicable reason Diamond have shipped issue 2 to some stores TWO WEEKS EARLY! Unsure of when they'll arrive in the UK (maybe when they're due? maybe one week late like "last" month? who the hell knows...)

Anyways, if you get yours early HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Reread Ring Road the other day too. It was great. He's very good that Jesus Redondo...

One of the stories that most haunted me was the time machine, about a guy whose life is ruined because of his pursuit of building a time machine, and the final chilling ending.

(Though I also always had a soft spot for sideways scuttleton too...)
