Well done to all, a slow start turned into an absolute corker of a comp this month!

1 Supersurfer - Eva Procopiou (have also always liked Flints design of this character)
2 Animes2058 - Grampus (great expression on his croccy mouth!)
3 Brendan Purchase - Judge Fish (exciting pic, like the notion of a robot body for him to forget everything 5 seconds later)

HM - Ragged Man - Bought back memories of the great Helltrekkers
Hoagy - The expression on their faces is classic, would make a fun kids story (with human sacrifice)!
Shaolin Monkey - Bert Shakespeare, the ultimate NPC two panels in a JD story and really stuck in my memory at least
AllisterMac - The return of Otto, one of Dredds best supporting characters from a real golden age of JD.

Ah but Death has had his own spinoff already...

Hence to be done in my own time and not part of the competition ;)
The completist in me demands a full set of four Dark Judges (and will be donated to the Advent Calender thread on the 24th if completed in time!)

The Truth about the Dark Judges - Judge Mortis

Thought I'd go down a slightly more comedic route than normal this month with a bit more of a major character than many have chosen but still a character noone knows anything about (why does he have a horse skull as a head??) and no series have been written about the other Dark Judges....yet.

Now to work on Fire and Fear in my own time to complete the set!

Mungo's lady friend's expression is even more apt when you realise what she's looking at.

Like the idea of Ukko as a Beano strip :)

Who is Bert Shakespeare...or Egg Butter? I've been reading the case files so thought I was caught up on most of Dredd's futsies but this one seems to have passed me by.

Bert Shakespeare is the father of Marlon Shakespeare AKA Chopper, introduced in Prog 206 which should be Case Files 4 and believe it or not, hes not a futsie, head butting eggs into a bucket is his hobby!

The wheels of thought are slowly turning which will eventually produce an entry to the competition.....

Just re-reading part 1 of The Life & Death of Johnny Alpha and noticed that the reporter is a mutant.  Then I realised what her mutation is... she has 3 breasts! How did I miss that first time round?

It was subtle, noticed it on the second prog she was in....or did I have Total Recall?  ;)

Next Prog: BLOBS!

Ron Smith is amazing
Ha ha next prog BLOBS is a catchphrase in our house!
Its a great page with some really deft brushwork by Smith plus this was the first JD episode I read which makes it a nostalgia trip too.

Latest acquisition from Leigh Gallagher

Alongside (or above) Ron Smith and Carlos Ezquerra.
The Ron Smith Page is from Rabid (if anyone knows the owner of pages 1-3, I'd be interested, please send me a PM) and Carlos' Apocalpyse War page with Judge Libermans failed Emergency Stop.

Keeping the Zenith book shrink wrapped and not knowing the number is just to encourage high bids.

1. Willo1 - Ace Trucking - Love the sepia tones
2. Jake Rowlinson - Jonathan Alpha - great early effort, really helped to get the ball rolling
3. Aliied72 - Steampunk Anderson - For the inventive Dark Judges re-vamp (or should that be retro-vamp?)

HM - Mister pops
        SimonTM
        SKD

Great work everyone and glad to be part of it (4 months on the trot and counting). I encourage anyone who thinks their artwork isnt 'up to scratch' to join in as you only improve with practise and often its the idea that counts!

Well, a few of those Zenith books have started popping up on ebay but this one caught my attention due to the £1000 Buy it Now offer.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Zenith-brand-new-sealed-by-Grant-Morrison-Steve-Yeowell-2000ad/271308737619?

As someone who paid a hefty wedge for the privilege of owning one of these, I have asked the seller to explain why having shrink wrap plastic on his edition is worth approx £700 more than the rest of the zenith books floating around. Lets see what they reply....
