It may be a different story when the non comic con type reviewers get their claws into it.

That said, I await Chris Tookey's ill educated rant. Should be fun.

Sounds very graphic, which is great.

Okay, so I'm a manly man, I wrestle alligators and bears and shit, but reading "Death Of Spider Man: Fallout" today (just got the collected) I'm choking up! They killed Spidey! For real! Comics do NOT work like this!

I've read it before, and had the same reaction.

See also We3 (every freaking time) and Pride Of Bhagdad.

So... any of you have tear jerker moments?

or am I the only wuss?

Someone official should definitely:

a) contact him and get him to remove these images
b) go to the red tops and give it to them as a story - good publicity for the comic and movie!

I suppose we all have to draw the line somewhere and I draw it at paying good money to watch a CGI teddybear saying Fuck.

Unfortunately, that's my upper limit!

Seriously, though, I like Family Guy a lot, and this should be right up my street as it's the same guy. As has been mentioned, there seems to be much more of an actual storyline than the trailer hints at, but then the trailer knows exactly who the targer audience is and what they will find enticing.

Profanity can be awfully amusing when done well, and I trust that this will be done well.

The Night Bus

Lech Andrychowski loved driving the night bus. As he sat behind the wheel, he watched the Meg go by, shrouded in darkness and, for the most part, pretty quiet. Sure, there were still some spuggers about causing trouble, but since Day Of Chaos (as it had become widely known) trouble was at a minimum, mainly because there weren't half as many cits to go around causing it.

A bump on the road, probably a pothole from small arms fire, made the bus jump a little, but none of the passengers complained. Lech kept his eyes on the road, trying to catch any further obstacles before they could affect the vehicle. He took pride in being the best bus driver he could be, and was actually glad that the events of Chaos Day had resulted in a need for human labour where before all bus drivers had been robots. Most of the robots with half a positronic brain had been drafted to help out Justice Department recover from the madness. Lech grunted to himself - the robots got promoted, so humans were drafted in for the shitty jobs...

It didn't matter, though, because to Lech there was no better feeling than having his two hands on the wide steering wheel, following his assigned route, doing a job that needed to be done. He hadn't had a job before, not in forty years of living, and he, along with many others, relished the opportunity to do something other than veg out in front of the vid every freaking day.

Suddenly, without any warning, a juve ran out in front of the bus, and the only possible outcome happened - with a crunch the bus ran him over. Lech slammed on the brakes and leapt out of the cab, panicking and shaking. He knelt down and peeked under the bus, turning his head the other way when he saw the mangled and obviously very dead juve. He looked around, but there was no sign of anyone else, and he knew he had a snap decision to make. If he reported this, he might lose his job, even though it was an accident. At the very least he would be suspended whilst the Judges investigated.

Unable to face the prospect of even temporary unemployment, Lech made his decision and dragged what remained of the juve out from under the bus. Keeping an eye out for anyone else (one thing about Day Of Chaos, there weren't many people about after dark any more) he pulled it up into the bus and shut the door.
"Does anyone mind if I just toss this guy in with you?" he asked his passengers. None replied in the positive or negative, so he heaved the dead juve in the back with the rest of them. Lech Andrychowski sat back behind the wheel, and whistled an old Bennett Beeny tune as he continued on his way to the burial pits to dispose of another 251 (originally 250) Day Of Chaos corpses.
