Books & Comics / Re: Mark Millar's CLINT

Finally got a copy and I liked it claims neo- maniac. Seriously I enjoyed it the only small flaw being Jonathan Rosses attempt to beat the world record for the number of words stuffed into a single word balloon. (Walt Simonsons manga-esque Warcraft stuff must be the champ). But I liked Turf alot, aliens, hoods, sickos/psychos. And the last two pager strip Huw Edwards presents was a gem.

Doubtless I'm outside the precious target demographic but I'll be buying issue two fer sure.

I'm signing the "Kev Levell for Art Droid" petition! C'mon, look at that! ^^^

EDIT : And Jumping Jim Campbell on lettering duties! :)

Grand idea uncle fester. I'm fightin' with that block!

Lovely to see Gerry F-D back though. And McCarthy too and a new movie. Times seem good for a Dredd head/twoothy fan.

Fabulous.

Strange I find these images so evocative considering that none of these planets exist and i couldn't get there even if they did.

I keep looking at them and just keep thinking wow.

Books & Comics / Re: Whats everyone reading?

Liked "Space Captain Smith" by Toby Frost-a genuinely amusing read sending up the sci--fi cliches and the British Space Empire. Then "Nemesis" an excellent assassins versus Space Marines book.

Next is "Pax Britannica Blood Royal" by Jonathan Green. I'm really enjoying this steampunkish book with it's fabulous breakneck speed action.

Got a Conan comic book arriving with some Richard Corben art -can hardly wait.  :)

Cheers, but according to Play, the hardback has the cover gallery and sketchbook as well. This deleted scene- eight pages worth? Anyone have a clue? Id like the hardback you see. But not at the expense of anything important, and there's only a quid's difference in price...
SBT

No the deleted scene is only 1 page and has Dreddy punching an alien warrior.

Humanity's cultural zenith has been reached. Now only the descent into Mega- Citydom awaits. Actually bits of it wouldn't look too out of place in a Dredd story. Gangs of juvey loons, vigilantes,  guns.

Prog / Re: Prog 1701 Dead in the Water

Another enjoyable Prog wiv new stuf! I liked the Wolfie story especially the startlingly fun last panel like something out of a fifties horror comic(but without the let- that- be- a- lesson -to- you! moralising).

I wait for trades apart from my weekly twoothy most of the time now. Job was shifted and getting off the train and walking to the old LCS just don't seem the same now.  :|

Megazine / Re: MEG 301 : CUTTING CLASS
29 August, 2010, 11:33:01 AM
Having been snuffly for two weeks I needed cheering up and this prog was better than any doc. An excellent Dredd, story and art summing up perfectly the insane nature of the Mega-City in just one story.

Hondo city/Inaba bonkers but great with some fanulous weirdy beasties at the end.

Anderson and Armitage were good and the art particularly so, Lily Mckenzie was also perfectly enjoyable.

The meg is Mega this month.
