Had fab time, im so tired I can barely think.  Gutted to miss the 2000AD panel as had to catch train but Tharg did growl at me on my way past which  filled me with thrill power.  Seriously wonderful to see all the fabulous guys I met at Hi Ex again, and really lovely to meet LARF and Blue.  Staggering to bed now!

Straight from work to train station woo hooo.  Can't wait.

Huge congratulations, again, sir. As the proud parent of two myself, let me IMMEDIATELY put to rest any idea that "oh well, it's only one more- how difficult can it be?". The second one, in my experience, comes with approximately five invisible evil brothers and sisters- all of whom will conspire to make you feel like the father of seven, without the sympathy gained from friends and relatives. The second one is apparently always the exact opposite of the first- so if you have a lovely, kind, sensitive daughter at present, be prepared for the coming of the tasmanian devil. That's what happened with us, certainly- as much as Bram was quiet, calm, polite and sensitive, Bela is manic, lunatic, and in permanent warp-spasm. But, none of that will matter one jot- because I'm sure, like me, you'll overlook that and just walk the streets alternatively looking like some kind of sleep-deprived New York bum, and silently screaming "Look how fertile I AM!!"

Also exactly what Spooky says, my eight year old is like a little angel, my 2 year old has a stash of flicknives and goes out bothering old ladies.  I'm often left wondering what i did differently to have such a well behaved (and quite frankly these days - beaten up) little girl and the rampaging, always hackey black and strangely sticky, headbutting tornado that is the little one.

lots of fun.  A very interesting take on the new Dredd from Blue Meanie - Hadnt thought of the Obama thing, and as pointed ouit, Dan seems more about teh politics of celebrity (or the celebrity of politics) rather than Obama. Just a point, Blue Meanie, that wasnt picked up - the vote is only for senior Judges to partke in, not the citizens.
