The article writer has probably done 5 minutes internet search, found the troubles that surrounded Action comic and used it as a basis for his views on certain UK comics of that era.

I can't say that 2000AD was ever thought of as 'naughty' when I was reading it. Action was a different matter though. The few of us that read it all but hid them in fear that our parents might see the contents.

Happy days!

I'm still trying to find one of my friends that wants to go to see Watchmen. Everyone of them has gone 'Huh, it's a comic...who wants to see a film about a comic?'.
At this rate I'll be doing a solo visit to see it.

That cartoon must be made. I deem it so.

It may be Cannon Fodder that you're thinking of?

I agree and will be making the Trek to see it (see what I did there?).

But, oh boy, you want to hear the hard-core Trekkers complaining about this film! For a fun half hour have a look at some of the notice boards/websites.

I can't remember the last time I watched TV full stop. There again, I am in Wales and electricity is still a bit scary...

I'd go with 'Spong'. A contraction of the words 'Spacker' and 'Mong'.

Oh and 'Crusty man porridge' is a saying of someone I work with.
