On the contrary. The helmet looks the best its ever been seen.

It's called sarcasm.

It's rare for a CGI creation to ever succeed in inducing fear from the audience. Best I can think of is probably Cloverfield. CGI simply lacks stage presence.

It was pretty effective in inducing fear in Jurassic park with the T Rex. But that was also mixed with practical effects.

Judging by the quality and style of the Drive movie, he's the  perfect choice to direct Button Man.

Latest from John:

The quibble: use of modern day vehicles in a futuristic setting.

-- Mike

So this means that the rumour we were going to get CG replacements for the present day vehicles used in filming was not true.

I hope they don't join the recent trend of having trailers for trailers!

They used to call them teaser trailers.

I like the description of the blocks as concrete favalas. And if Lena is as much a bitch as she is in Game Of Thrones then her character could be quite impressive.

Whenever Dredd gets too violent in the comics, I close my eyes.  :|

The length of time that we've been waiting since the announcement that the film was  greenlit to the release date is much longer in comparison to other comic book movies. I seem to remember that xmen first class began shooting at a similar time to Dredd but that came out about a year ago.

I guess we just have to put up with a little more waiting until this summers heavy hitters  have all disappeared from the cinemas.
