One thing you can do about the rain is move out of Cardiff, HoU.

The coming rugby season is going to be fun.

Brian Aldiss is still alive!?  I've got some of his Penguin sci-fi books from the sixties and his photo and bio makes him look - even then - like an old Oxford don.

What do you do at an event like that?  Apart from hero worship, which I'm not a fan of, but probably am very susceptible to.

Earlier this year it was "Stamp on the Camps" and "War Against Gipsies".  Then it was, 'intern muslims', now it is, "The Sun Says... Bring in a Police State, nothing less will Protect OUR Freedoms!"

"Watch the skies!"

Will Patrick Moore host a Sky at Night special, telling us all how best to watch the last ever shuttle crash?

It is a pretty hopeless excuse - 'I fell on it'.  I mean, they're going to know exactly what you were doing, so why not just say, 'between you and me...'

General / 2000AD letters
03 August, 2005, 04:34:18 AM
I am very disappointed.  When I got a letter in 2000AD I got a batch of postcards.  Okay, not as good as a fiver, which, in current terms of current spending power would be what, about ?30?  But still, good.

Then, I write my treatise on futurology for the Megazine, when I could have been working.  When I should have been working.  And what do I get?  Not even fame.

I suggest that Tharg brings back cash prizes for letters.  To be enacted retrospectively.

The BBC are reporting that is was detonators only explosions, with no reports of injuries.

The BBC are very cautious when reporting icnidents like these.

It requires slow, calculating cunning, with the aim of ruining your opponents game as much as playing 'well' yourself.
