Well, actually Ratty, I would support measures designed to make our transport system safer and less destructive.  So I would support measures to get people out of cars.

I have no problem with people smoking, per se, more the tremendous unbalance in the persuasive forces on either side of the argument.  Yes, advertising is now banned, but this is only after hundreds years of smoking being advertised and working its way into Western culture.  It is not enough to simply say, 'the balance is redressed, smoking adverts are now illegal'.  And yet, this advertising came on the top of an addictive product, making a fortune for some people on the back (chest) of others addictions.

Yes, let people smoke.  But lets stop people profiting from this and shift the persuasive forces in favour of healthier options.  And that's my argument regarding other addictive drugs too.

Cows.  Yes, walking through a field full of cows is scary.  I constructed a fantasy where the cows lived in a hive under the field, walking up the walls and on the ceiling of this orange-lit cave, feeding their giant queen cow and tending to the eggs.  Of course, underground these hive-cows move like they've been animated by Ray Harryhausen.  Bovine Terror Shock!

I only caught the end of the documentary, but that was enough to make me really very sad.  I know that I'm very lucky.
