Wittgenstein would provide a pretty good demolition of the idea that IQ tests are anything other than knowing how to do IQ tests. If I could just remember what it was, and then articulate it, you'd have it. But I can't do either.
There's the good 'awkward student' example where even devising the rule as to how to continue the series '1,2,3,4,5...' is demonstrated to be impossible to articulate - it requires an understanding that can only be acquired by living in the society that we do. That's not to say that the next number isn't 6, then 7 and so on.
