Forgot about this one I got for my buddy's two little boys

(Imagine that awful scene with Bale shouting, 'Where's the trigger?')

That is outstanding. It's not mine but has anyone seen this Anderson commission work in progress by Frank Cho?

So, I'm off to visit a friend in Cumbria at the weekend and it just so happens to coincide with the Lake International Comic Festival. Some good guests are going to be there including Wagner, Ezquerra and Fraser. I contacted Si to see if he had time for any pre-con sketches and he kindly said he'd do one on the plane over. He's just sent me this pic of what I'll be collecting on Saturday. The speech refers to the fact I'm getting married in a couple of weeks. (Man, this wedding is killing my Thought Bubble commission budget!)

Just received the coloured version of my Guardians of the Galaxy commission. I've posted the original before but I'll stick it in again for reference purposes. Pencil & Inks b Dave Stokes and colours by Simon Gough. It's a beast at 105cm x 30cm.

I have a friend who started reading comics about 6 months ago but so far has just been reading US stuff, mainly Image comics. I obviously want to get him onto the galaxay's greatest. With that in mind, does anyone know which progs from the last several years feature a complete prog's worth of all new stories? (I suppose the year end giant size progs all do that but I know there are others I just can't remember which)

My friend has already gone down in my estimation of him. I tried to give him some Savage and Defoe trades but he said, 'It's black and white? I'm not reading black and white. The art could never be as good as colour'. Even when I showed him some glorious pages he stood his ground and said, 'see what I mean'. Some people.

Fantastic stuff - that Punisher page is amazing...

Yeah, I'm not really a Punisher fan but thought that page was ace

These couple of beauties arrived in the post this morning. I've met Laurence Campbell a couple of times and he's a top guy. The first is a page from the Moon Knight: Silent Knight special and the second is a Punisher page although I'm not sure what issue it's from.

Readers of my Megazine Odyssey blog may recall in the Meg 211 review I wrote the following:

"If I meet D'Israeli at a comic con and can get a sketch off him, Raptor would be my choice. He's a brilliant little character who 'speaks' using no vowels..."

So I was at the Forbidden Planet signing of Trifecta last night, and D'Israeli turns up! I pluck up every ounce of courage and ask for a sketch of the super fast little killing machine - and I get one! Wahoo! Matt was very apologetic for the rubbish drawing, saying he had only had 4 hours sleep the night before because he'd been traveling. I say that pish and nonsense - it's a great little sketch - and captures Raptor very well.

I was standing next to you at the time! I got an Enormo Overdrive. He smells blood in the business waters.

Great stuff. Dare we ask is the dismembered head anyone in particular!

Nah, just some random punk who got unlucky. Thinking about it now it would have been cool to have the head of a well known character on the floor like Johnny Alpha or Dante!

Some absolutely cracking stuff on display in this thread. I'd like to add my latest addition. It is a joint birthday present from the girlfriend and my folks. None of them actually know what I was getting and I'm not sure they'll appreciate the subject matter but I love it! As you can tell, it's by the amazing Cliff Robinson. What a gent and what a talent. Feast your peepers.

Can anyone recommend a good framer either online or in the Wimbledon or Guildford areas? I have a piece that is 105cm x 29.7cm so need to get a custom frame built. Looking online I can probably get something for around £70 but when I popped into a framing shop yesterday I was getting quotes of around £150 min. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, The Chief has a couple up his sleeve. I have the Ben Willsher line-up piece and the possibility of a Cliff Robinson single figure commission as well but that one won't be until September (birthday present and all that jazz)

I won't clog up the thread with too much non 2000 ad stuff but did want to post this one. It's a Guardians of the Galaxy commission by Dave Stokes. Two landscape A3's and a portrait A4 totalling 105cm x 29.7cm. It's a beast. It's just been coloured by Simon Gough but I can't show that just yet. (he asked me to hold off posting it online until he finishes another colour job he's doing for a piece that was commissioned before mine. It's great though and I'll add it here when I get the go A-okay). If anyone knows a good place to get it printed, any help is appreciated.

Especially for Simeon, and apologies for those that have seen it before, here's my Gallagher commission. Brutal Sov justice!
