News / Re: 2000AD's success is down to the Scots

I wore a kilt to Download a couple of years ago and it got a bit silly with women trying to lift it and even taking 'up skirt' photos. It was quite amusing but I'm guessing if a guy did that to a woman it would be a different story. I blame the Scots.

Phew. Thought I was being odd.

OK so I'm reading the Ultimates, and do you know what, I don't hate it. It's actually rather good. This is confusing as it has Mark Millars name on the front. Who knew.

Gotta love that accent!

That was the first thing my girlfriend said on meeting Stacey, 'What a wonderful accent'

Bollocks. A quick google reveals Picasso's "Les Demoisellesd' Avignon" postcards, prints and all sorts. I'd bet it's even appeared in those same magazines in WHS more than once. You can't compare the original art by one person with a copy of someones else and say .. look this copy is cheap and mass produced. (Yes I know the original Picasso will cost more than a Langley original, but the fact remains  - your argument is flawed)

I seem to remember the comic adaptation of Conan the Barbarian being good (the Arh-nold one that is)

Prequel about the Romanov family as a crime syndicate I think it was.

Are we allowed to talk about the next Dante 'story'?
Can't see why not. According to John Burns it isn't actually written yet so I doubt there is _that_ much to talk about. Just there is an idea for one, the artists want to draw it and Tharg is interested. Anyone know Robbie well enough to tie him to a chair till he puts it all down on paper :)

there is absolutely LOADS of material. ...  Universal Solider,Tao De Moto, Moon Runners, a collected Hap Hazzard, The Clown, Bradley

That list kinda hints at running out of material to me sorry. Now if you had said Armoured Gideon I'd be with you all the way.

No Dante makes the list a farce and a waste of paper.

The books split into a set of hardbacks would be acceptable also. Have you considered approaching Rebellion or Mongoose to publish it? They both have a vested interest in the product and some degree of experience with print work :)

Good news about Dante, I was hoping this wasn't the last outing.
Any idea if there'll be any change in artist (John Burns?) or will Simon Fraser continue til the end?
Just spoke to Mr Burns. He has one more story after the current one then a final one by Mr Fraser afterwards. Rumours of a Romanov prequel spin off but nothing concrete yet.

Do they still have those. The one in my local Barclays was removed because apparently they are hideously unreliable. (Which might be OK for a supermaket but not for a Bank)
