I've often wondered about "Grud on a Greenie" - a green what?
I've always taken a 'greenie' to be a cadet. No idea if that has any basis in the comic though.

Not really. I think its largely down to to what the author thinks sound cool. Drokk does seem to just be used as a substitute for 'fuck' and is used in the same manner, and Stomm is usually used as an analogue for 'shit'. Then you have the obvious Grud and Jovis and the lesser used 'Dokk' but by and large if it sounds cool, it works.

I love that Dredd and would be sorely tempted. Satanus just leaves me cold. Looks a bit like the sort of Dinosaur you could buy at the seaside for a tenner, just with a better paint job.

Pardon my ignorance, but aren't Dark Horse and IDW different companies?
This.
I assume IDW have it under license from both Dark Horse and Rebellion

It was start by Google as April Fool

http://metro.co.uk/2016/07/12/pokemon-go-is-based-on-a-google-april-fools-joke-6003189/

Possibly - although the game itself is based on Ingress, Niantic labs original AR game, which is very similar. To the point that all the Ingress Portals are Pokestops / gyms, which makes it easier for me to find all the ones around Oxford :) Esp. as there's one right outside my house.
Niantic was spun off from Google and did the pokemon april fool originally

Weirdly, the UK version doesn't come with a plug adapter, just a USB charging lead. You can buy USB chargers from Poundland though, so it's not a big problem.
Nintendo love that sort of thing to keep costs down. See also DS & 3Ds's which never came with a charge cable

Thanks for the heads up Molch-R. Snagged a copy last night. Being delivered today apparently. Got to love super saver delivery :) Not sure why anyone pays for next day.

The amusing thing in all this is Nintendo's share rocketing and everyone congratulating them but they had virtually nothing to do with the game other than stamping a seal of approval.

I been try this Pokemon Go app, you only go to those areas and catch Pokemons, bring level up, that's it. But it will drain your Mobile Data. If your kids got it, you will get huge monthly bills. Very pointless app.
It drains your battery but doesnt seem to be too data heavy. Its just geolocation data.

I'm pretty sure this isn't a licensed product, which is a shame, because I'd love one of these:

Yet another "Judge Dread" t-shirt, as if Rebellion wouldn't notice.

Aren't any bootleggers remotely original?
I think thats part of the joke of the tshirt

My Mike McMahon print turned up, lovely thing, wish it was bigger. Don't know why McDonalds got upset, as it's quite clearly MacDonalds who were being lampooned.
Just need my copy of the book to turn up now; probably in a Southern postal sorting office having fallen foul of my postal redirect (although the poster made it).
I don't think MacDonalds were upset. Green Giant were. They just removed them all from circulation to be safe. Unless I mis-remember.

Not in the prog....I get Lucasian in terms of anything else -non canon. Z
Thats a bit harsh on the meg.  slightly OT I think there can be a good case made for including the IDW Dredd Year 1 and Anderson strips. Written by Tharg and drawn by established droids. They reference Prog continuity and don't retcon anything.

Didn't the IDW story touch on it too. Not sure if that counts as canon though. (It should)
