Nice Flip, who's that first guy?

This is a sketch from years ago, remember doodling it on a post-it note (probably at work). I called it 'Evil Rooney Priest'. Just scanned it and tweaked it a little in photoshop:

Am I the only one positively salivating at the prospect of 'The Grievous Journey of Ichabod Azrael and the Dead Left in His Wake'??? Dom Reardon drawing a brutal (horror?) western, with THAT title??? Oh boy.
I refer you to the fifth post on this thread.

Woops, sorry Cosh. Leapt in feet first there.

Cheers dudes, helpful as ever! Bolt - no excuses, I really must check out Something Wicked, been meaning to yadayadayada. Will place an order come payday I reckon.

Angelfore looks ace! Blythe and Parkhouse... is that our very own Chris Blythe? Has he written it? Always loved Parkhouse's work on Luke Kirby, for me he defined that strip. So that's a deffo to check out. Ah, you're all such nice people.

As I've said before, I have recently returned to comics after some years in the wilderness. In the last few weeks I've particularly enjoyed stuff like Caballistics book 1, Necronauts (one of my favourite comic book stories ever), Fort: Prophet of the Unexplained, and have ordered issue 1 of Gutsville. Can anyone recommend me more of the same? Y'know, dark, occult, macabre horror, that type of thing. Fanks, y'all.

Pete, if I could hug you I would. Personally, I'm beginning to see Carl Critchlow as one of the modern great Dredd artists, up there with JOck, MacNeill, Flint and Kev Walker. Granite-y indeed, plus his palette is masterful. Favourite blog ever!  ;D

Colin, get the trade.  Shakara works brilliantly in one sitting and has more to it than you'd think.  The first three pages of that trade are just mind-boggling.  In a good way.

The closest thing I'd compare it to would be, and this is complementary to both works, Nemesis.

You know, that's exactly what I thought this morning whilst finally reading my prog and scoffing economy jaffa cakes - Nemesis! The dazzling aliens, the iconic ship. Fantastic stuff. Can kinda see why some folks find the plot a little thin, but then I haven't read the trade either. Mabe Shak would benefit from a truly great (ahem) nemesis. Torque was much more fleshed out (than Nemesis - arrghh, this is getting confusing!), we got more of an insight into his twisted mindset, and it always seemed like Pat had more fun writing him than the title character.

Hey ho, just thoughts. Shakara certainly LOOKS STUNNING, Flint-droid excells himself.

Well I bloody love it. For one thing, the banner made me think of how Kev Walker's style would really work in animated form. A proper cartoon - hmmm, think I recall that being mentioned a few months back.

I dont think this counts as a phobia because its perfectly rational but i cannot eat or drink anything that has additives and chemicals and fats in it like Aspartame etc .

Anything unnatural or processed with very few exceptions.I check the ingredients of anything i eat or drink.I looked at the ingredients in a loaf of bread the other day and it had "mono-dyglycerides of fats "or something like that so eating that was out of the question.

Its the same with pharmaceutical drugs or vaccinations and this explains partly why i will refuse an H1N1 vaccination. No Fucking way.

When i have eaten something that is processed or unnatural i feel like i have been polluted inside.

I totally fuckin' hear you, my man.
