Messages - Professor Bear

Watched the first two, and while the production is impressive, the dialogue is pretty painful, the characters stock archetypes, and the twists weak.  The problem isn't the excesses in the execution, the problem is that the overall package feels a bit juvenile and serves as a reminder that if you want animation that treats its audience like a grown-up, you're better off watching kids shows.
But YMMV - I probably just came into this expecting too much after it got a pretty good rec up above.

If you're looking for a sci-fi cartoon that skews older in its storytelling, give Gen/Lock a gander, as some of its spins on mecha tropes - particularly Evangelion and Gundam - will likely be lost on casuals, but it was interesting to see Western animation try its hand with characters capable of a bit of emotional range.  It also has Maisie Williams (English) voicing a Scotch, and David Tennant (a Scotch) voicing an English.  Why?  I dunno, but I choose to pretend it's a nod to the original Highlander.
I've also heard good things about Final Space.

I mean that's exactly how videogames work isn't it?

Anyone YOOF can tell you that you need to input a code to access your computer's real life facility.  Clearly the makers were "nubes".

I loved this. I really loved my 7 year old loving it. I think you may not have been the targe audience.

I think you're right that I'm not the target audience, but considering it's named for a 30 year old hair metal song and the makers don't seem to know how videogames work, I'm not sure who the target audience actually was.

I thought the 1990s being presented as a distinctive period in history was too soon for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and that came out in 2004.  It didn't even register with me that Treme was a period piece because it was "only" set in 2005.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle - a good cast wasted on a dreadful script filled with not-great cgi setpieces.  This is named after a 30 year old hair metal song, so it's not the first movie to be called Welcome To The Jungle and I can safely say that not only is it one of the lesser movies called Welcome To The Jungle, it's not even the best movie featuring The Rock called Welcome To The Jungle.
More like... uh... You Are Welcome To The Bloody Jungle Because It Is Shit.  Hey, they didn't put any effort into their script I don't see why I should put any effort into insulting it.

Reports of Jan-Michael Vincent's passing were released today, though his death actually happened last month.  Best known for Airwolf, he also starred in Damnation Alley, a movie known around these parts for its contributions to Dredd lore (alongside the original novel the film was based upon).
Though he'd had a leg amputated some years ago, 73 still isn't a bad run, especially not when you consider the many films and tv shows he was in and the high profile and earnings he got from Airwolf that admittedly resulted in his infamous/ruinous toot habit.  Was just doing an Airwolf binge watch, too.

I think you mean Super Ghost Hunters Simulator.

Once you've changed the art to something laughably on-the-nose like "Ghosthunters Plc", you'd arguably have a pretty decent satire defence, though whether you want to test it is another matter.

There was also a point where Eagle readers started appearing in the strips, and I haven't a clue what the legal situation is there: was their actual likeness used by the artists?  Does their being a minor at the time create any additional problems?

My idea - and hear me out here - is to draw cocks and rude words on all the pages and then claim it's technically a satire of the mid-1980s comics form.  I come from a large family so this is pretty much how I remember the material.

It's getting so you can't even conduct a years-long media campaign smearing an entire political movement as racist, homophobic, antisemitic, violent, misogynistic cultists who support terrorism without them just turning around - out of nowhere - and telling you you aren't welcome at their meetings anymore.

Hibernia have published softcover collections of The Tower King and House Of Daemon, but you'd have to check their website for availability.

I never got into it, but I did appreciate that it raised the bar for comics in general by showing that you can do the nastiest shit imaginable in a comic and it won't automatically shift copies, which was a lesson that comics writers clearly needed teaching circa 2000-2014.

You have to curate the recommended for you list by clicking on the options pull-down menu - the three little dots on the corner of the video you want to stop appearing in your recs - and choose "not interested" and when prompted "tell us why", select "not interested in this channel".  Do this a few times and YT will stop recommending you such videos - at least until you or someone on your computer or device looks at such videos again.
I did this a while back and now I follow like 200 different communist Youtubers that got recommended to me - when the algorithm starts working for you, it really starts working for you.

YT does some very awful stuff to the point I pretty much defend the algorithm now because it's far from the worst concern.  Nonces using kids' videos to share nonce porn links, for example, or YT's demonetisation strategies that constantly impoverish the users that made the service the social media hub it is now rather than the place you went to find copyright-infringing uploads.  YT has many problems, but the algorithm one is at least fixable.
