Cheers man, and we are usually about 3 or 4 weeks behind in recording anyway because we suck, so no worries there.

Next time I have to bail on one maybe Flint could give you a shout so he doesnt have to work around crappy time zone differences.... tho to be fair he makes the effort due to his crush on the Whittle.

Just posting ep33 to the GS guys so hopefully that will go up in the next day or so.

I think its coz with these bigger volumes where the title is good and BOLD, to read "DREDD" you tilt your head to the right, then it seems the correct way to go.

(sorry for any derailment about my weird shelving habits)

I think its an age thing too

You hit 30 and boxes of comics suddenly look like too much hard work whereas a nice shelf of trades gives you a warm and fuzzy

I have two full bookcases of non 2000AD stuff... the Meg collection is coming along nicely though

lol... Im in the other camp.
Savage and Defoe, no problems. Anything I dont remember I feel they do a good job of recapping in-story. Dante though...

Im starting vol 1 of Dante tomorrow though although while it may piss off the long term mob I STILL think that on issue one's of things, especially on a jumping on issue like this one, they should put a one page "Story so far" at the beginning.
Hell, even Dredd would have benefited from a "This is who Sinfield is, this is why Dredd is on the council of five etc" for the reader for whom this is their first ever try.
Not saying to do it every issue, just one part one's of continuing stories. Anything so that your newbie doesnt get half way through, think "I dont get any of this" and just put it down.

Think we're going to see it tonight.

Wright has said the best way to take the fights in this is to treat them like songs in an old technicolour musical. When they kick off you dont wonder how everyone knows the words or why it isnt weird to everyone else in the scene, you just go with it. Kinda like that angle on it.

Games / Re: Mafia 2

Enjoying it but the car mechanics feel a little off.

At the start of the game they make a big deal that there's snow everywhere and the roads were icy. I think this was just to get you used to how the vehicles handle. Later levels the snow is gone but they still drive like bricks.

Its too fun a game for this to spoil it for me, but theres a LOT of driving to and fro in this game and I've never made a single trip without getting one hit at least.

Finally got around to reading the Ennis/Erskine run on this after picking up the hardback omnibus for 12 quid or so. Really enjoyed it... felt old and new at the same time, if that makes any sense.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a 2nd volume
