Really? I was on earlier and when I filtered servers to populated only there were about 10 with people in

It's gonna be a slow one tho to be fair as it's so retro. Like I said tho for three quid I can have a run around with a few mates who are also getting it so job done. Steam makes it well easy to find friends which was always a pain back when

Games / Deathmatch Classic.... for us old farts
03 August, 2011, 06:54:10 PM
Just got this today. £2.99.... its frigging Quake!

Proper old school shooter. None of this co-op crap, you kill EVERYONE and see who has the most frags at the end. Totally kinetic old school fun. Frigging loved it.

Bit wary of online shooters now as you always seem to be in a team with 6 other guys who know the maps inside out and give you a torrent of abuse if you dare to not be stood at point C with weapon A at exactly 123 seconds in. This one you just run around and shoot

Bit of a nostalgia thing but still rocks. As its playing on the old Half Life engine should work on any pc too

How can you not love this?

In case anyone does put this on, or even if you just have Steam, I'm on as welshbluemeanie
Just bought a copy for a mate who used to play this stuff with me YEARS ago. Worth £3 to kick his ass again  :)

Nice work, Blue Meanie. Looking forward to hear it :)

Hey, I didnt do bugger all! Well, I did ask Flint to do it but its allll him.
I'm with you guys, looking forward to it if a little nervous. He's a mate so he'll be brutally honest about mine. Actually if you've heard him you know he'll be honest about all of it. Best way I reckon

fucking hell.. that pic of the tin medals gave me a punch in the chest style flashback!!

My fave ever freebie on a comic? There was this cardboard spy wallet I had with cards you slid in and stuff. Buggered if I can remember which comic it came with tho

Nice one, thanks guys!

Definately a load there I can use without risking any confidentiallity agreements. Will send off my list tomorrow and fingers crossed we'll get some behind the scenes

Global Agenda.
Its another of these big "free to play" MMO's that steam are pimping now, same as Champions Online. This one is like a futuristic tech city surrounded by wasteland type thing.

Loads of fun so far. Plenty of solo missions of dubious morals to complete and it made me do some 4 player co-op with strangers which I would normally have shied away from but actually quite enjoyed.

POdcast was recorded last night reviewing the latest Zarjaz and Dogbreath.

Will let you know when it goes up.... once I've edited it to make their Constable Dredd review AMAZING of course   ;)

Ok... this is all FAR from definite yet but...

The guy who plays one of the Judges in the new movie is possibly up for a Q&A for the website. I'm putting together some questions today which I send to him then he sends on to see if his answering them breaches any contractual agreements he has. All fair enough.

But, lets assume it all goes ahead. If anyone has any good questions to ask about the filming that wont require him to go into specific plot points etc then post them here and if they suit I'll add to the list I'm sending in. Ideally want more questions than needed so they can cut out a few and still have something he can answer.

Either way I'll keep you all posted

It's ok now... I seem to have pissed him off so he's dumped me like... a dumped thing.
He did take the time to correct me on some spelling though which was nice   :D

I've had a word with Flint who said he'll sort a podcast reviewing the latest Dogbreath and Zarjaz... I cant join in really as I have a story in one of them.

As for getting Rich and/or Dave back on our podcast (I assume thats the talk with Richmond you meant, not his Small Press Big Mouth appearance) the guys can come on whenever they have something they want to talk about.

GREGORY!!! fucking love that book. Me and the wife still randomly let rip with an "UP HAM!" now and again.

I'd pose pics of Meanie Towers but would get a bollocking due to the state the house is in. I'll see what I can sort though
