A nail biter!! Well done to Dr X for his vision and to Mark for making me chuckle. And Sharky, well, you're just toying with us....

Ooh, what happens if it's a tie? Fight to the death?
#783
Of course you always win, Sharky.... when you enter!  ;)

I'd just like to thank the Forum scriptwriters for that spot-on cameo appearance by Mr Jim Campbell. Just like the old days :-)

50 words?? 50 words?? Can barely get going in 50 words, let alone reach a conclusion!

But I do like the idea of the short and sharp.

PS. The 'Baby Shoes' story was written by Ernest Hemingway. Not for a competition, but allegedly to settle a bet in a bar.

That's not a manbag. That's perhaps a holdall, or a retro style sports bag slash doctor's bag.

It is a bag for a man. Which is different from a manbag.

That was my point Lady  ;)

Apologies. Irony filter malfunction.

If it spreads the interest to the opposite sex, it could become a real couples mag, bog reading, must have.

If they wanted to spread interest to the opposite sex, they should have mentioned it at their first branding meeting. I'm guessing Germaine Greer wasn't on the Board of Directors advising them to adopt such a bold post-feminist brand????

I'm quite happy to acknowledge the fact that it's not for girls. Some of us will read it (once) because we're interested in comics. 99% of no-tails will walk straight past it, just like we walked past Zoo, Nuts and Loaded.

(Background information: I have enjoyed reading both Heat and FHM over the years but don't think this is good enough to sit between them. That said, I recognise CLiNT's core market and, whatever I may think of their world-view, I wish them luck in selling to it.)

Not sure if the rollercoaster is still there... worth a trip up the Stratosphere Tower though (make sure it's a clear day; we went and saw, um, nothing).

The fountain show outside the Bellagio at nighttime - makes for a romantic moment (as featured at the end of Ocean's Eleven).

Cocktail Bar at Paris (up the 'Eiffel Tower') does some fine Martinis, though not recommended when you have to catch a flight later that evening.

If you're gambling (which you should) go to one of the classic casinos (we went to Caesars Palace); it gives you a really good feeling of tradition in a place made almost entirely of chipboard and plastic.

ABSOLUTE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP: The Star Trek Experience at the Hilton. This for a group of four girls, two of whom have no interest whatsoever in sci fi. It's ace!!

Last but not least, some of the hotels (low end) put chlorine in their water supply, so if you get a bit blotchy after your morning shower, that's why :-)

I notice Mr Fester isn't on here laughing along, I think I can smell his tears from here  :o

Mr Fest has far more important things to worry about than manbags: there's rubbish to be put out and heavy lifting to be done.

(NB. Before you say it, no, I'm not the rubbish and, no, I'm not that heavy....)

Oh, PJ, how little you understand....

The manbag is not in fact yours. It is merely an extension of your good lady's carrying capacity. Think of it as Big Yellow Storage for things she doesn't want in her primary handbag but would like to have nearby, just in case....

So the correct answer as to what to carry: whatever you're told.
