I like the Joe Pineapples sketch. I'd definitely start reading ABC Warriors again if he was drawing it. Brill!

Try Deadhead Comics in Edinburgh. The guy in charge is a guy called Gaf, he has a definite leaning towards indie comics. In fact I would say he has probably one of the last purely "comic" shops left in the country, it's not a toy shop that also sells comics. The shop is on Candlemaker Row, tel 0131-226 2774 (from memory).
Hope that helps Hoo-Ha. :)

Events / The late Aberdeen Pimp!
01 April, 2010, 11:06:53 PM
Hi there folks!
I'm going to be doing a signing in Aberdeen, this Saturday (ie the day after tomorrow), at Asylum Books and Games. I just realised I hadn't let the boarders, in and around the environs of Aberdeen, know about it. So now you know. :D

Cheers

Colin

Phew! That's me finally home too!
I'm glad everyone had fun at the weekend. It sure was "interesting" to put faces to names for everyone. ;) Sorry to those who didn't see much of me on the Sunday as I had a very good excuse. I only got to bed at 9am. Hurrah! I was the last drunk man standing. Someone take over the duties next year please, as I don't think my liver can take that punishment two years in a row. :D
It really was a great weekend and I hope all who were there enjoyed it as much as me.

I'm really saddened to hear of Rufus' concerns about the forum. He was over the years, I saw about the various cons, the most enthusiastic of twothy fans I ever had the privilege to meet. His wild-eyed youthful love of 2000ad certainly reinvigorated me each time I met him, especially when over the last two decades I had doubts over my participation in this field of artistic endevour.
I was going to make some comments about fan reaction to one's work but I think Trout hit it on the head with his comments.

1) The internet is just people. You get good and bad everywhere. It's just that here the bad causes extra frustration because people can comment with anonymity.

2) If you are a creative person, believe in what you do. Sometimes you need a thick skin. If you don't have one, don't read the forums.

It's the age. It gets to us all in the end.

That's true. Unfortunately I'm still in the middle, no way near the end. Maybe I should ask Tharg for a memory upgrade.

Help! / Judge Logan Reference

Hello hive mind! Can I get your help?
I'm looking for recent visual ref for Judge Logan. A prog number would be sufficient, though any of you super dooper folk want to post a pic then that would be terrific!
Thank you Hive Mind, only you can save me now! :D

MC and VD, excelent start there chaps! Looks like this is gonna be a good un.
And Rog, gosh! That one kinda scanned, not quite the usual head-phuck that is your normal sort of story. Are you okay? You're not off your food or something? Maybe you should lie down for a bit with a damp copy of Revolver on your forehead. :D

Hope I can concoct a theme worthy of you all for next time - watch this space. Am thinking that something about shoes might be appropriate. Or handbags. Soft furnishings???

Shoes?! That sounds intriguing. That'll definitely sort out the men from the lady-boys.  :D

Well done, Lady Fest! A cracking story there!
And congrats to Sharky and LoD too!
Well done to us all. Another fine comp.

I thought this voting lark would get easier the more comps I voted on. I was wrong. Yet another tough one!
Anyhoo, here are the votes from the drawing board jury!

1st - Lady Festina
2nd - The Legendary Shark
3rd - VanDom

HM - Dandontdare

Well done everyone, another great comp!

I may not be on this Wednesday. I'm going to a public meeting about flooding in our area that evening. Hopefully a good chance at councilor baiting! I'll see if I can pop in later on in the evening.
Cheers.
