Some people weren't here at that point....they may not feel the topic is ready for a line yet.

2. I don't like the way the citizens are ignored. The story seems rushed. Suddenly, the city is in danger? Where are the weather riots, the citizens chasing fatties for blubber or the other minor details that give a sense of scale and make the city a character?

Good point.  The madness of the city always adds to the flavor of a tale.....a trick missed perhaps.

Cover:  Nice, but odd.  Doesn't really look like the style of either artists involved!

Dredd:  Continues to be great, but I get the feeling that it's gonna be over soon.

Absalom:  Did not end as expected.....but no complaints really.  Just expected a bit more.

Helium:  No surprises, continues along familiar lines.

Outlier:  Only the art is keeping this one afloat now.

Jaegir: After the last couple weeks, some welcome action.  Loving Coleby's work on this.

In work today, based on a Facebook post doing the rounds, someone smugly said "Bet you can't name a band without the letter "T" in their name. It's harder than it sounds."

Clickbait.  Basically posts designed to get hits....cause that then equates to revenue once the hits are sufficiently high. It's like those phone in quizzes:

Which is a city in France??

A: Hamster
B: Paris
C: First Aid Kit

Call this pemium number NOW and you could win some cheap tat!

You are gonna catch more idiots at a premium rate with an easy question, rather than a hard one.

But to use "Bet you can't name a band without the letter "T" in their name. It's harder than it sounds." in an actual conversation??  That is pretty dumb.

Cover: Nice.

Droid Life: Still fails to raise a smile.

Dredd:  Damn, that Gerhart's a tough bastich!  Art and tale still going strong.

Absalom: Nowt new to say here, moving along nicely.

Helium:  Less fond by the episode.  Doubt it's the tale, more likely the fact I just can't get along with the art.

Outlier: While the art is still crisp...the story is losing me somewhat.  It's not so much I don't get what's going on...I just care less than I did when the tale started.

Jaegir:  Very nice, but think I'll be going back over this in one hit once it ends to get the most out of it.

Highly likely I'll be staying through there about this time anyway due to work, so if there's beer to be drunk and pish to be talked, I'm in. ;)

Oh I read it, and am not saying it's unlikable, but it doesn't scan well for me either.  I don't quite know why I don't hate it....it's not the kind of art I like, I keep thinking 'Hellboy' as I read it, and the layout's pretty poor, yet still, I do read it.  As opposed to ostriches, which is the only strip I've skipped in either prog or meg in feckin' YEEEEEAAARRRS!

Of course not.
But there are always those who will go out of their way to be offended by literally anything.

That offends me!  :D

Cover:  The standard level of awesome form Alex, if only he could animate! ;)

Dredd:  Corporate bastards, heroes of the people, and the law trying to make sense of it.  Crackin' stuff.

Interrogation:  Zzzzzz....

Demon Nic:  Okay....started well, but the panel layout is already beginning to get on my tits.  The art is clean, but....meh.  Script wise, not thrilled, but also not bored, looking forward to seeing how it plays out, and what it intends to establish itself as.

Trash Talk: Great.... another block of pages containing no stories, written or drawn.

Storm Warning: Might just be me being too literal, but I didn't quite get the sequence with the tree.....they arrive at the pit, there's nothing around, then there's the branch/tree/root thing with the judge on the end of it, and another lying by it's base.....a small matter, and as I say, likely me being too literal. Other than that, enjoying this tale.

Lawless: An early twist on the twist!  Wonder where it's all going, and happy to be along for the ride.  Really liking Winslade's art on this.

8 pages of ads seems a tad much though, especially when most of them are for 2000ad.
