Was sure there was a thread about 'an adventure in space and time', but I can't find it...so I'll post here.

Me and my Daleks made the paper....hoorah!

Love the fallout series, regardless of the inevitable bits that you end up pissed off by.  But as usual, I'll wait for the hubbub to die down, then buy the GOTY version with all DLC's included, so I can gorge myself on it's uber violence and thievery!  (my favourite two pastimes!)

Watched this for the first time the other night.  Don't think I'll bother next time.  Seemed like....Hollyoaks meets MI High.  Not for me.

It's not just you.  The suck ass.

There's wonderous visuals, some top actors, cracking effects, and a not entirely shite storyline, but somehow none of that matters.  They still blow goats.

Fair enough.  Never seen it that way myself, but different areas have different speech patterns I guess.

How does describing a woman as female seem 'off'??  It's a valid word, and no more 'reductive' than to describe a bloke as 'male'.   But whatever, the prog........

Usual fare, all fairly good, but thought I'd chuck in my tuppence worth on the cover.  Not a fan.  As mentioned, doesn't look like a dino at all, way too 'human' shaped, deliberate or not, I don't know, but it don't matter in the long run.  You like what you like, right?

And also try to understand in a ship the size of a building, Fishbourne locks the team in a room with all his weapons and shit when he is intending to kill them.

Guess my homework assignment should be, 'work out where you were supposed to put the word 'why' in that last sentence!!!!!!  D'oh!

I'm going to have to watch this film again.

When you do, try to work out by what tortuous sequence of events the Death Row guy got there.

And also try to understand in a ship the size of a building, Fishbourne locks the team in a room with all his weapons and shit when he is intending to kill them.

Surprised though, that no one has mentioned the absolutely fabulous soundtrack to Pulp Fiction yet though...
Mr Tarantino certainly appears to know his music and seems to select slightly more obscure music tracks which actually 'enhance' his movies..
Cheers

You damn right man.  Although I'd say reservoir dogs has the edge on pulp fiction, the whole k-billy 'pop bubble gum classic' of stuck in the middle with you during the torture is an inspired, and somewhat disturbing choice!  And Jackie Brown too.....some absolute belters in that one.

Star Trek: Of Gods and Men.

Well.....you know Tim Russ?  You know how he was a bit of a shite Vulcan in Voyager?  It's mainly cause he's a pretty piss poor actor overall, as he's shown in a few other shit things he's been in.  It seems, this was not enough shitness for him, he's decided to prove just how shit he is as a director too!  And by gosh, he does it in spades.  After watching this......garbage you are left in no doubt the man has not a single 'directing' bone in his body.

So why'd I watch it?  Well, it had Chekov, Uhura, and a fair few other names from the Trek series' in it, and I was curious.  You know what they say curiosity did to the cat?  It bored it to death with cheap CG, bad acting, awful sets, uninspired costumes, nasty make up, talentless camerawork, and capped it all off with the cherry of poison direction. It did you know, it so did.

Martian Chronicles,

Good shout!  Also reminded me of the various 'Quatermass' series and films, also rather good.  And day of the triffids....which was utter pish, but good for a laugh at bad TV!

Ah, Lexx!!  Was trying to recall what it was called!  I just always remember it as a fairly bonkers series with really odd characters, and a ship that looked a bit like some kind of odd insect?
