I am building a wet room at the moment.

The amount of work that has gone into that so far is unbelievable just to get to plumbing and tiling stage.  Looking back i didnt realise as i have done it all myself except for the plumbing that i dont touch and i never realised Mosaic tiles could be so expensive either.    I havent bought any yet but its very hard to get a cheap deal if you are unwilling to compromise on quality like i am.

If you google eating out in scotland you get a few guides.   Its finding the right guide as some just concentrate on all the snooty places instead of pubs and bistros that are better.

I have just looked on the web and if you google Hardens restaraunt guide you get it all for free as you dont need to buy the book.  You can search for whatever area you are in.

I am not sure how the ratings work but they will explain that for you.

Stupid book!   i was looking at it yesterday and now it is hiding somewhere.     It was called Hardens restaraunt guide.
It was a bit old ,2 to 3 years out of date but they dont change much from year to year.   This is the best guide there is and its not all expensive either although some are. I avoid expensive places anyway as they are not worth it.     you get a good eslection of very reasonable stuff in this book as it includes a lot of pubs etc.

I have just the same problem as that as i just hate getting up as i dont like mornings much.

I always find it hard to switch off at night.I never go to bed before 2 in the morning.Even if i am tired the later it gets i stop feeling tired as i seem to come awake at night. so going to bed at 2 is a good compromise if i have to get up at 8.   I think i am meant to be nocturnal to a certain extent.    Its either that or the fact i did a lot of travelling and moving around up to the age of about 11  and as the time zones where so far apart i think it may have screwed up my body clock a bit.    It sounds like we have the same problem as each other.

no  but i could have cooked you a better chilli by the sounds of it but i hope you enjoyed it anyway.                        I only ever eat in places that are recommended in guides as a bad meal can cost as much as a good one.It just saves you any disappointment.

Not for a while now.      as it is summer i mostly wear flip flops.    Sometimes no shoes at all.         The only socks i like are those that you get in camping and outdoor shops that are always about a tenner for 1 pair,  otherwise i hate socks altogether

That was a shame as it has cleared up a bit now.     these eventsare too tightly controlled and have to finish by a certain time instead of waiting for the rain to stop.  so its a no win situation i suppose.   what a waste

Foghorns arent to o bad as you sometimes get that here as well.  We are in a courtyard and the church bell echos a bit.  I lived near trains once and i dont mind them at all.     Right now it is just pissing down exceptionally  hard and somewhere there is a big firework display close by.    What a load of idiots, still fireworks the whole time here.  I hate them as it sounds like i am living in a war zone with mortars going off.   As soon as they end,the rain stops.

the church was here first .It was one of the first buildings here at all as it was just fields here in 1830 when it was built so they win in that sense.       This place used to be for stabling horses and is a bit later than that. No one minds the bells as it is part of living here and it is stupid to complain but when it just doesnt stop ringing it just gets a bit much.  If i cause noise nuisance then i would stop as well if it was annoying others.
