Off Topic / Re: Snow joke.

I was at the dentists yesterday, my dentist is Swedish and my Dad joked 'I bet all this snow makes you feel at home' apparently he grinned and said 'This? This isn't snow!'. Looking out of my window right now I'm beginning to think he's hexed the weather...

I was on a bus from Camden to Hackney and a young lady started playing some bear good r'n'b tunes from her tiny mobile phone speakers, a chum I was with started visably bristling. Soon he couldn't take it any more 'WOULD YOU MIND AWFULLY TURNING THAT DOWN?', her response 'yeah yeah Ok, but why so aggresive? I is a respectable girl innit'. Luckily she got off at the next stop

Israel is not the problem, its the bigotry all around the world from all walks of life that's the problem, you can't just pinpoint one country/religion/nation/ideal. Someone's heaven is someone else's hell.

Exactly, well put and I think maybe this particular line of debate should be steered away from? It's only a matter of posts before the 'N' word is used!

Quotethat shithole called Israel

Erm Pete, steady on - just because you don't agree with a Country's foreign policy doesn't mean you should dismiss it as a shithole; the people of Israel are in a position which we can only have nightmares about ie one where all your neighbours want to wipe you from the face of the earth.

QuoteThey have two small children and on Christmas morning we could hear the kids were up at about 7 o' clock. Nothing wrong with that but what kind of parent goes in to the kids room and says "Why are you up so fucking early? Get back to bed!"

answer to your question - mine!

The sky and moon here is looking amazing.

I can see the moon shining on the sea, I've a glass of rediculously (sp?) expensive champagne in my paws and I want to be the first to say 'I hope this brand-harry-spanking new year brings you everything you want, plus health, wealth and happiness' *mwah!* *

*I'm NOT pished, honest

I have just started reading 'If chins could kill: confessions of a B movie actor' by Bruce Campbell and already I am hooked. I hope to get quite a lot read tonight whilst at work.

Oooh I got that for Xmas, it's next on my 'to read' list

2) Where did that teenage girl get a flippin' Sten and a crapload of ammo anyway?
The same place she got the Paras beret and the surley attitude! Hands up everyone who saw coming a mile off her sneaking off to the Triffid farm with Bill and suffering some moderate peril (not enough in my book)

A friend asked me to suggest girls names that are also flowers for her unborn child. I wish I'd said Triffid now

M.I.K - I know that's the start of the book, I was meaning the whole 'early morning on London Bridge' type imagery

I kept expecting Mr Izzard to start talking about being covered in bees or something! Dougray Scott is a staggeringly bad actor but I was relieved about one thing; given the obvious homage to '28 days later' (a film which I loathed btw) at the start of proceedings, thank funt he wasn't lying naked in his hospital bed! Although that would at least have been something scary...

SBT - oh my cod! I hope the boys weren't too distressed by it all and I also hope the mad old crone gets locked away, that's unacceptable behaviour in anyone's language

MGB - You have my deepest sympathy, when I lost my cat I wasn't even allowed to see him (he'd been kept by my evil hag of a mother) and I found out through an old neighbour what had happened. Give her lots of love and hugs and that goes for your girlfriend too

I liked 'Oyster Boy' but then I'm a sucker for all things Tim Burton *awaits the wrath of Gloady*
