Cheers for that, Logan.  Great to be treated to that Bolland pic again - Dredd really does look like a gnarly old bugger, doesn't he?

It's a letter explaining that due to a typo, Fargo is not Father of the Judge System, as previously thought.  Filmore Faro, however, is.  You know, that nutter with the junk.  Cue hilarious re-design of judge uniforms to include old toasters and bits of tat, and the launch of the new Manta Prowl Dustbin Lorry.

That's very touching, Robby.  It's great that you've gone to such trouble to express to him how much he means to so many people, and he's obviously appreciative of the fact.

It really would be great to see a tribute to his work in 2000ad or the Meg sooner rather than later (I'm thinking of the nice but sad Tom Frame Block in the Bolland Origins ad in this week's Prog...).

Maybe we should have a Massimo well-wishing thread that we can send to him?

Not as good as that old Barbie / GI Joe voicebox switch, but still nicely done.

But if they do ever collaborate, can it be on some treasured creation of John Byrne?  Mwa ha ha ha.

Cheers, Phuz.  Now, I wonder if Forbidden Planet accepts dried, salted cod as a method of payment..?

Any chance of someone picking up a copy of this for me? Being stuck in Norway I've no chance of getting my mitts on this at the mo - I'll send you the cash in either Sterling or salted, dried cod, whichever you fancy...

Phuz - thanks for that, looks fantastic - makes me want to go home and dive into Swimini Purpose again.  Now I just need to find a way to get a copy...  Not so easy in Norway, bah!

He's obviously moved on to greater things - hence the recent beta test version of Mega-City Mornington Crescent on the board...

Tipppety-tip-top Prog again this week.  I love it when we're on a roll!

Cover Very nice, in-your-face image that really makes me wonder where The Connection is leading, and what we'll have in store in Origins.  More from Jock, please Green-bonce.

Dredd Struggling to remember the last time I enjoyed a Dredd story this much.  It's sooooooo good, and I'm really pleased to have Kev Walker and Chris Blythe doing the art duties on this.  Is it just me, or are some of the best stories in the Big Meg the ones where it's raining or at least adverse weather? [Block Mania, that ol' McCarthy one, and the snow scenes in the Apocalypse War spring to mind] Anyway, the judge shot at the end - is that Dredd or just a random helmet on traffic duty?

Malone is coming along nicely, and I'm curious to see what dark father-of-justice shaped secrets may or may not be in the offing.

Stone Island Second best thing in the Prog for me; great art, and a story that doesn't seem to be in a hurry to let you know what the hell's going on.  Does that prison guard look like Lionel Jeffries to anyone else or is it just me?

Banzai Battalion is okay, and how the little pesterminators are going to get out of this one, I have no idea.  Send them on the long walk, maybe?

Dante Well my prediction about Dante on the suicide boat was partly right, and this is matched by my lack of surprise that he managed to get out of it - or did he?  It really is one of those weekly serial cliff-hangers, isn't it?  Still, all good clean fun.

Anyway, 2000ad: it's great, isn't it?

Oh, I don't know - imagine the fun you could have designing the bridesmaids' outfits!
