Just checked Bambaland store again today* and Judge Death has finally gone.

A bit disappointed... But kinda relieved too. One source of temptation has gone.

*Despite saying I'd probably give this a miss, I've been half inclined to order it anyway. Well.. the upcoming Dredd figure needs someone to fire in incendiary rounds at, right?

You'll crumble when these appear at retailers...   ;)

I think these should do fairly well if enough comic shops decide to stock a few.  Not sure that there have been any retailer details mentioned so far but if I see any I'll post here with the info.

Film & TV / Re: Last movie watched...

I think the only film I have on the shelf with La Rothrock in it is Millionaire's Express; worth checking out as it features a huge number of familiar faces from mid-80s HK film...

I could watch this kind of thing all day!

Books & Comics / Re: Whats everyone reading?

I'm getting stuck into The Possessed: Adventures with Russian Books and the People Who Read Them, by Elif Batuman.  So far, so good.

Prior to this was Discovering Scarfolk by Richard Littler, which really was very twisted.  Great fun.

Quote from: ming on 18 January, 2015, 07:45:47 AMRobo-Hunter will be coming with Cutie and stogie (not sure if it's a regular stogie or Stogie; I guess the former would make more sense - no Hoagy with this)

Robo-Stogie it is, apparently.

¡Ay, caramba!

Well its not an addiction yet but since it was lent to me by my boss our next endeavour is The West Wing. Watched the first episode and while it certainly had some nice moments all I can say is I do hope it gets better! After all the praise I've heard of it I suspect it will?

I always get that confused with Veep.  Which I love.

We just watched The Worricker Trilogy (Page Eight, Turks & Caicos, Salting the Battlefield).  The second installment felt a bit forced but overall this was really enjoyable and seeing Bill Nighy in a main role was something of a revelation.  Worth looking out for.

"heh 4th figure is Dredd"

From Gregory at 3A.  Fingers crossed that Robo-Hunter materialises in the second quarter, followed by a similar pacing for other figures - then we'd have the long-awaited 3A Dredd dropping before the end of the year.

There's a 'select shipping' option but it's meaningless since all Bambaland sales are inclusive of international shipping (unless otherwise stated).  Death will ship anywhere and everywhere, don't worry.

Latest from Gregory at 3A:

"Next up is Robo-Hunter for 2nd Quarter 2015

We'll try and keep the figures within a similar price range so you know what to expect. Hammerstein is huge though so expect him to be the more costly of first series"

Yay!

Robo-Hunter will be coming with Cutie and stogie (not sure if it's a regular stogie or Stogie; I guess the former would make more sense - no Hoagy with this)

Anyway, great to hear plans are in motion.

Quote from: J.Smith on 14 January, 2015, 05:24:54 PMI know, and I probably will get it. But then: which version? Both look really good, which surprised me - I didn't think the black and white one would look that good but I'm honestly not sure what I think looks better, surprisingly.

Well the black and white one is only available from Bambaland so if you're tempted by that, go for it.  You can always pick up the regular via a retailer later on and either keep both or sell the one you're less fond of.

Get it, that's what.  If you don't end up wanting to keep it you'll easily be able to sell it for what you paid for it, or close enough, I'd think.  Once these leave Bambaland and retailers, they won't be reappearing...

I'm sure the uniform has been reduced in price, check it out ;)

Oooh.  So it has... Only £1650 now.... That's a pretty fair difference..!

It's the Anderson one though, so you'll have to get used to tottering about in high-heeled judge boots.

;)

Hmmm. Not sure I'd pull that off too well... :o

Maybe just at weekends?  :)

Cam has also had two small collections of sketches and other material published; definitely worth a look if you are able to track these down.
