Blimey I avert my eyes for a second and a portfolio of fantastic art which hardly seems doodle-ssque in its gorgeousness lands on the thread!

I hope you're still drawing too! I loved looking at all the different elements in there...

They have to have little elevators put on one side of their legs when they are walking on flat ground as they are so superbly suited for the Scottish Mountains.

It is a clever idea - Dredd is sometimes a piss take of American Empire and in this case an element of the British one. Shoes the similarities plus it looks cool!

The RMT have decided to strike at a time which suits my Easter plans and will hopefully force my bosses to let me work at home all week after hahahahahahahahaha!

They all have 'something' that is so totally Dredd. It's fascinating because it shows that each artist brings out a different element of Dredd's character. It is also true that some of you should be more confident about your work than you are. Excellent!

I have learned some great tips from this thread.  Although I got my degree in writing (many years ago) instead of art I always felt more confident in knowing how to improve the art (currently action poses, -and therefore anatomy - colouring and perspective are exercising my brain matter). 

Writing, however, I find difficult.  Plot seems really difficult.  One of the things I admire about 2000AD so much is the compressed writing style - how they get so much incident in 5/6 or less pages is amazing.  In my latest story, I decided to go for a simple alien invasion plot (I don't normally have any plot at all) and nick a few ideas from Peter F Hamilton to get me started. It's been a lot better but it's still been very uneven and I find bringing action in very difficult. I love to draw characters talking on and on and on....

I'm also slower than any artist you ever met which is why I do it as a hobby. Oh and I keep taking on more than I can handle re the comic version of Wuthering Heights.  *sigh*

Most of my Dr Who art is done for my nephews. I'll be quite depressed when they get to the mardy teenage phase and aren't impressed anymore....
