Film & TV / Re: Revamped Dredd trailer

Good work!

Imagine how disappointed you'd be with the real film though if you saw it for the first time after your new trailer... Extremely, I'd say, with more than a soupçon of Bitter And Twisted to boot! :)

Welcome, welcome! There is a shed load of cracking stuff for you to work your way through you know!  It's going to be great! :D

Yeah that Silurian one was dull, wasn't it? :)

Thought this was much better than that. Having the horror / suspense run for a bit longer as mentioned above might have been a good idea though...

This would have been a good one for that recent Zombo book where those kids were trying to top themselves in ever more interesting ways! Tasteless perhaps but quite appropriate I'd say!  :D

I think a lot of us adults forget that Dr Who is mainly aimed at the younger generation and has enough to keep the adults hooked so I don't think there is any need to over analyse it too much.
Just enjoy it for what it is and if you see a plot hole just ignore it/forget it.

Well said, that Vzzbux!

I have recently done some lurking on Gallifrey Base but they're way, way to into it for me... Anyway, must be off. Just going to make a ridiculously detailed post about 2000AD on another thread...  ;)

Yup, enjoyed that one. For me this has been one of the best seasons so far... Better not say anymore in case I jinx it!

Good review!

Agree about the cover, I have to say. It just does NOT convey the wonder of much of the art inside.

Still, so glad this was reprinted. A very enjoyable adventure with gorgeous art. Well done Rebellion on reprinting!  :D

Does that say "non aerospace use only" there in small type? Well THAT'S not very handy now, is it?

Now that the clickwheel version is visible...

Enjoyed this Meg. Much has already been said however in brief I really liked:
- Numbercruncher. More creator owned material please if this and Lilly are the benchmarks.
- Insurrection. Gorgeous art, really gorgeous. The initial scene cutting through the wall. And the firefights... Very, very nice. Good turn in the script too.
- Liam's Dredd art was very good indeed.
- The cover was very eye-catching too. Probably a bit better than the strip itself, something that interestingly seems to have just happened in the Prog debut of cadet Cass, although obviously I'm more than happy to see the nam Ezquerra appear in either the prog or the meg!
- loved the Lawrence Campbell interview from Mike Molcher. Those 2000AD boarders, you've got to watch out for them... ;)

Well done that Molch-R! It's Meg Time!  :D

Off Topic / Re: Its the Rapture....apparently

So one tv evangelist says the Rapture's coming and he gets on the BBC? How come? It's not as if there isn't any other news going on at the moment!

Thanks lads. Good stuff!

But. You both have to go to the local comic or book shop and buy Caballistics Inc IMMEDIATELY! Oh yes, and then read it! Thanks. That is all.  ;)

Prog / Re: Prog 1734 : The Rookie.

In descending order of awesome, my top 3 would be:

- The cover is stunning.
- Dante is by far the best thrill. As someone who joined partway through, ever since the recent recap this has been just the business!
- Absalom is coming along very nicely, thankyouverymuch.

Honourable mention for the Anderson artists of course!  :D

Biggest bugbear of the prog: the "fan service" with Garrison in Dredd. Not. Happy.

It was though nice to see the word "arsom" sneaked into Dredd. Well done that writer!

Very strong cover that, very strong indeed!

Thanks Pete for getting and posting the step by step on it. Fascinating to see the process at work.
