So after a week of thinking I was totally crap at this game it turned out I had somehow started my first playthrough on expert level. Have now bumped it down to newbie and as a result my first in-game dragon encounter (barring the one where you get your first shout) is only against one dragon not three. We took him down. There was much rejoicing. Am also now not getting slaughtered by damn near everything which is a lot less frustrating

Looking at the photograph that ladies quiver is set too high on her back... Is to small and is of an impractical shape.
Her costume provides little in the way of protection
her scabbard looks at an Akward angle and I do hope that isn't her fighting stance as she would be oh so easy to push her over.

I would have tried to record those farts for posterity.... And then used it as a sound track to an advert...

( if I had the talent) But then I have an evil streak.

In one way it is nice to know that I am not hypersensitive and that other people  suffer from smellies.

On the other hand isn't it disturbing that there are people STILL SMELLING for non-medical, soap dodging issues?

A campaign has been launched to get late comedian Rik Mayall's "lost" World Cup song "Noble England" to number one.

DJ Jon Morter, who calls himself the 'charts hijacker', has started a Facebook page in tribute to The Young Ones star who died yesterday aged 56 for as-yet-undisclosed causes. To date, almost 3,000 people have "liked" the group.Mayall's track, which includes famous lines "respectfully taken" from Shakespeare's Henry V ("Once more unto the pitch, dear friends"), set against a football chant ("Come on you England, you noble Englishmen") and motivational music.

The video, which has racked up 310,500 views, stars Mayall in traditional Henry V get-up inspiring the footballers to bring home glory for their country and "win for St George".

UPDATE: MAYALL'S WORLD CUP ANTHEM ENTERS UK TOP 40

It closes with the trophy being held aloft and, somewhat poignantly, shows Mayall disappearing into a glowing walkway, an English flag draped over his shoulders, as the crowd cheers. "I am the lovechild of Britannia and St George," Mayall said upon the anthem's release. "That is why they gave birth to me, so that I could release this single.

"I'm doing my bit, just like every other Englishman, as we stand shoulder-to-shoulder, doing out bit, stiff upper lip – apart from when you're screaming out the lyrics to 'Noble England'."Unfortunately "Noble England" failed to chart, but if anyone can bring it back from obscurity, it's Morter.

The social media campaigner was behind the successful effort to take Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name" to the 2009 Christmas top spot, in an outcry against Simon Cowell's commercial juggernaut, The X Factor.

Speaking on his new project, Morter told the Evening Standard: "It would be great thing for Rik's memory. He was a comedy legend. Rage Against the Machine was more of a protest whereas this campaign seems to be a way of displaying respect.

"It's a cruel irony that on the eve of the World Cup we have lost him. It's now time for everyone to wake up to this fantastic song."

The World Cup kicks off on Thursday but there is no official England song as yet. Gary Barlow and Michael Owen's take on Take That's "Greatest Day" was sidelined, while unofficial contributions include Monty Python's "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life".

I 100% agree.

A few years ago when I worked in QUB's Student's union I worked at both the (tabletop/RPG) DragonCon  and  (general Sci-Fi/Fantasy) QCon. The smell was fuckin' unholy. It permeated the whole building. It infested every porous membrane on your person. This building also hosted a regular nightclub wherein people would dance their arses of for 5 hours plus, and the building never smelled as bad as it did with nerds sitting around eating excessive amounts of pizza and doritos.

It's the dirty little secret of geek culture that no one addresses. The putrid skeleton in the nerd closet. I have a feeling that all the online, arrogant, elitist and misogynist* nerds wouldn't be taken as seriously if people could actually smell them. Or indeed, see the crusting of convenience food around their mouths/jowels.

*More accurately: sexually frustrated. These people don't seem to realize that the reason members of the opposite sex (and society in general) reject them has more to do with their lack of personal hygiene than anything else.

Do you know somebody complained to me for mentioning this on another forum. They said I should be sympathetic as these stinkers could be suffering from mental illness which means that they have poor hygiene.
