Balls Brothers was pa-rit-ty crazy. Kev Walker has some pretty good cartooning skills.

Looks like all parcels go behind the reception, and not in our communal post box. I might order some cheap comics, test their trust worthyness.

Prog / Re: Prog 1703 Cry Wolf!

Nice cover, even if it just further confirms that this series is never going to be what I wanted.

Dredd: Flawless. Wagner doing the black comedy perfrectly, Willsher nailing the atmosphere. Some cool layouts in there too.

Defoe: Not really any plot here, but some cool moments. I love Leigh Gallagher's final panels, always really creepy.

Age of the Wolf: Don't like it at all really.

Low Life: Awesome in every aspect again.

Nikolai Dante: Awesome final 2 pages, could have done without the cheesy dialogue at the end.

Best Thrill: Dredd then Lowlife? Lowlife then Dredd?

EDIT: Props to Pete Wells for the run down of the flashbacks in Dante. The Andreas one was the only one I was in two minds on. Fraser is probably one of my favourite artsist atm, I just got an email back from him saying he will do me a commision peice. But I do think sometimes he swictches up his style to often, makes it hard to tell who's who at times.

Well atleast the WHSmith here stocks plenty of copies, in my home town, if your not there on the day they sell out. Here, friday and they still have  4 or 5 copies.
Might not be such a problem afterall with that much leeway, money providing.

I'm totally anal about my collection though, and hate the hassle of tracking down stuff. Plus the Prog is kicking ass lately. See how it goes for the next few weeks. Atleast want to be up to date up until Leeds Though Bubble, since I hear a few of the guys from the forum are there, don't want no drunken spoilers.

All else fails sure I can find more people on here who want rid of their Progs when the time comes.

Cheers guys,

The plan was to buy the Prog today, then I got out of bed at 4pm. Really doesn't look like I will have the time to make regular trips to the shop to buy it. May give it a better go after freshers. But anyway, looks like a subscription is defintley the way forward. Probably going with your suggestion Emperor.

@zombemybabynow: Don't think I'll be able to come collect them, I don't drive. If you wanted to post them in small bundles I'll cover the postage and throw a bit on top of your effort. But I can understand it might be a bit of a hassle. Your call if you think seeing them go to a more loving home than the tip is worth it haha.

Again thanks for the offer though, seriously generous of you. And thanks to everyone else for their suggestions too.

I read and dispose, (both prog and meg.)

So, If you can get to either west end london or guildford, (periodically)

You can have them for nothing.

I'll take 1701 & 1702, (i think?) out of the recycling as well!!!

I'm up to date with both atm. And man that is such a good deal. But I'm not sure I can get down there on a regular basis, I was thinking more one big pick up at the end of the year.

We can try work something out if you like, also I'd feel bad paying nothing have to arrnage somethin there. But seriosuly thank you for such a genrous offer in the first place.

Cheers,
Lee

It was inside his helmet, rather than flying around. It was called Milton. I often wonder what happened to old Milton. He was quite a fun character.

Milton, what a name.

I've considered it, but I get infintley more enjoyment out of having the actual thing in my hand. I'm constantly revisiting my older progs so I don't think digital is right for me.

Yeah, didn't he have like a flying robot (like Booster Golds Skeet) as a companion instead of WULF?

Always been a favourite, because it really is terrible. Might help to read it with a Northern accent!

Prog / Prog 1702: The Law at Your Door!
18 September, 2010, 02:31:22 PM
Cover: Like it. Not my style but the guy is obviously very talented.

Dredd: Wagner can juggle so many things at once, so if he threw in a little more political conflict or seomthing new, this could reach Tour of Duty level awesomness i.e perfection in my eyes.

Defoe: Leigh draws some pretty good body language and he always turns the creepiness up to 11 on the final page. Defintley getting intresting.

Age of the Wolf: Some of the foreshadowing in the prophecy caught my intrest, but the comedy lost me. That and all Rowan seems to have done is run around in circles for 3 parts.

Low Life: Great again, love seeing Disraeli's orignal takes on the different Judges and his stroytelling is impecable.

Nikolai Dante: Dimitri is becoming still more menacing, and Nikolai is throwing up on his mams shoes. Brutal stuff. You can tell LuLu always liked Nikolai though, so I think she will be looking to betray Dimitri.

Top Thrill: Probably Dredd again. Closely followed by Dante.
