Erm, yes it is!!! There's a private log-in box connecting certain users to the wiki (presumably).

Or presumably not. There might be a login box but it doesn't mean anyone is logging in, yet.

I was just coming to post that but you beat me to it. I think this underlines my concerns about Century and also Black Dossier:

QuoteA scene of two characters discussing street names does not advance the plot. It feels like it should, because the names are distinctive and the characters are spending an entire panel being extremely specific about them, but in the end, they're irrelevant. They're just there to meet Moore and O'Neill's recommended daily allowance of Michael Moorcock references. Push it far enough, and you're just doing Family Guy for smart people.

The arachnid threat will be countered with specially trained attack-sparrows.

Or I could just leave it for now and use cardboard.

Molch-R I summon thee with this barrel of leg polish.

Er ... what?  :-*

Well the leg polish worked (you'd not believe how much a droid on stilts gets through).

What about a locked thread stickied to the top of the Dredd film forum that contains the official news and developments as a way to get new visitors and any passing press up to speed on where things stand?

Guys, can I ask that you don't respond to him when he posts?
Report him to us by all means, but any kind of interaction will just give him (in his mind) validation for the drivel he posts.
Thanks.

Plus it means we can't just snip his madness out and pretend he never happened.

Remember, don't feed the trolls as it is awfully difficult to clean-up their shit afterwards.

Just delete the posts that respond to him - scorched earth policy.

This is what we have now done - we've removed most of the posts responding to his provocations, especially if they quoted his text, and have them locked away for safe keeping. Sorry if this removed any non-troll-related comments you might have also made in the same post but the lesson is you are wasting your time replying to him, so report suspicious posts and ignore him (replies are either water off his trollhide as he ploughs on regardless or he gets off on it). We will be taking a more proactive approach, as there will be a lot more readers of the forums and this one in particular as things heat up in the year run-up to the film we've had and we don't want to give him the satisfaction of even having his words in association with the film (at least on here).

Help! / Re: Poster board / display board
29 July, 2011, 03:41:12 PM
OK I made a bit of a technical mistake there. Those are A3 display boards (297x420mm) but the filing cabinet is 620mm long. What I'd need is closer to A2 (420x594mm) and eBay has them for £3.50 each or 5 for £15 (seems foam board is the term most used there). Rymans also have a decent price:

Any other tips?

Thanks but I've accidently neglected to mention one or two things:

...

2) My PM Box may be broken. It comes up as one long thread (even the new ones) instead of independent threads for different subjects. Is it meant to do that or not???

This is how mine has always worked - there is a list of links at the top which jump you down the page to the relevant message.

Yeah apologies about the search bar.  ::)

I am currently working on a full search system that scrapes the site, forum, wiki and shop but the forum part doesn't work properly as of yet and wasn't supposed to be pushed upstream with the latest update.

It has now been rolled back

Going to the forum search still brings up a blank page:

Help! / Poster board / display board
29 July, 2011, 04:17:26 AM
I'm going for filing cabinet storage for my comics and was thinking about using poster board for the ling and dividers as it is a bit more robust than cardboard:

http://web.archive.org/web/20090616132120/http://www.comiccovers.net/filecab.html

Now Amazon sell a pack of 10 at A3 size for a reasonable price and it is free delivery:

www.amazon.co.uk/Centafoam-Display-Lightweight-CFC-free-W297xD5xH420mm/dp/B000J69FGA/

However, it seems such an unwieldy thing to get through the post. Can this be picked up at art supplies shops pretty easily or is Amazon's price so good I should ignore my (admittedly odd) qualms about it being sent through the post?

I can't get any of the forms to appear when I go to search the forum. Entering the search terms into the top right box makes things go even wronger.
