Emperor; while I appreciate the wealth of links you provided, why did I have to hear that Bolland was providing covers for this title from the man's blog? Hmmm? I'm an art whore, but I'm a very lazy and complacent art whore; I rely on other people doing all the hard work for me, while I lie back with my ankles around my ears.

An arresting mental image* and a massive oversight on my part. Possibly because his cover was fine but not something you'd hold up as an example of his being one of the top-ranking cover artists. Partly because a first issue has a lot of foundation work to do - I am looking forward to more spectacular work from him as the series progresses and the weirdness ramps up.

Ah well, you found out eventually.

I didn't quite believe that so I went and checked, seems he did do that  :o

I'll still be buying it though.

* As in: you should be arrested for projecting it into my headbox.

Maybe this one could be dedicated to actual samples (which we could all discuss) rather than just a general discussion? I like the idea of gathering them together in one place.

So much for that idea.

I can split it off again, I am just after the merging/splitting Nectar points I get...

I wouldn't mind - ! My intention was a "show us your colouring" rather than "let's generally talk about colouring" I was going to call it "Does my colouring look big in this?" But that DOESN'T MAKE SENSE AT ALL.

I've just kept the original name.

I just tried to download the sample script for sorrow hill but was sent to an error page when clicking on the  link. Can anyone send me a working link to the sample scripts?

Thanks for flagging that up - I've updated the link.

Is the missus trying to tell you something by leaving the "g" of the end of your name on your badge?*

Good to hear you got another cake, it seemed a great shame that the first one got eaten by insects. Although somehow it is fitting the way Dredd is turning out, the only thing left to throw at him are face-eating insects (and
Roger
).

*
I bet no one has made a "g" joke about your name before.
Looks like a good turnout and Orbital and the Drokk team put on a good show.

#1 will have a GNR cover for a story by Gordon Rennie:

www.bleedingcool.com/2012/05/16/margaret-thatcher-brain-snatcher-at-kapow-this-weekend/

...co-written with my Big Finish co-writer Emma Beeby, with whom I've currently got something new in the works for 2000AD.

Excellent news.

I should also add that, as well as the droid talent I highlighted, the anthology contains a lot more stories by a whole host of talented folks:

QuoteOther strips include Comfort by Dave Cook and Gary Crutchely, Staring Into The Eye Of A Blackbird, You Can See The Things He Likes And The Things He Doesn't by Martin Hayes and Graeme Howard, Omen by Geoffrey D. Wessel and Steve Penfold, 'Open Source by Cy Dethan and Aaron Moran, and Otherworld Sailor by Matt Gibbs and James Reekie

Well worth picking up.

They are also doing portfolio reviews at Kapow:

QuoteOverload is also looking for contributors – you can bring along your portfolio or story ideas to table 34 on Saturday 19 May at Kapow at 1300BST and on Sunday 20 May at 1300BST.

Good news, I'm up to speed now and it all seems to be coming together nicely.

Naughty Pete, I think you'll find this has been mentioned already. Mods restrain this man  ;)

We've tried but he is a slippery customer, lab tests show this is mainly down to him having rubbed himself all over in lard (although not to evade retraining as some of it is years old).

Quote from: Buttonman on 16 May, 2012, 07:43:24 PMI did consider a Blogger account so I could work with out the constraints of 'The man' but soon got over the idea.

You should get back under that idea then.

I came home today to find the paperboy in the path engrossed in the prog but he scarpered before I could get out of the car.

Anyone else spotted anyone having a sneaky read of the prog?
