General / Heavy Metal Dredd

How many "Heavy Metal Dredd" strips were there?
And is there any that haven't been reprinted?

I have the "Heavy Metal Dredd" book with the Simon Bisley strips in, and I remember a John Hickleton strip turning up in the Megazine.

Just wondering how much Dredd I'm missing!

General / 2000ad Poster Progs
23 May, 2003, 02:45:44 AM
I remeber that 2000ad launched a series of poster progs, each with a single 6 page strip.  I never got any of these at the time, but now regret it.

How many were there?  Who of? and have any of the stories been reprinted anywhere?

Off Topic / The Bogie Man by Wagner/Grant/Smith

While at a Comic Mart the other week I came across all four issues of "The Bogie Man - Chinatoon" in a bargin box.  I didn't even know this existed, so I was very happy to part with 4 x 50p.

How Many "Bogie" Stories were released?

I have the original graphic novel that contists of "Farewell My Looney","The treasure of the Ford Sierra", "To Huv and Huvnae" and "The Wrong Goodbye".

I also have "The Manhattan Project" as serialised in Toxic (I think).

And obviously I now have "Chinatoon".  Does anyone know if Wagner and Grant wrote any other "Bogie" Stories?

Cheers

Off Topic / Fading memory! BEEB Magazine
30 March, 2003, 05:52:45 AM
Can anyone help me out with a something that is bugging me at the moment.

I was in the pub the other night with a couple of like minded friends.  The subject got on to 2000ad artists who had worked or started on other British comics.

We recalled all the great John Burns artwork in Look-In on "The Tomorrow People" and Arthur Ransom's work on "Sapphire and Steel".  Then my friend Pete reminded us that John Burns had also drawn a strip based on "The Tripods" for the BBC's short-lived rival to Look-In (called BEEB (?) we think).

We then spent the next hour (plus numerous hours over the last couple of days) desperately trying to remember any other strip from "BEEB".  We reckon that they all must have been pretty dire if we can't remember a single one of them, but its still bugging the hell out of us at the moment.

Can anyone remember any and put us out of our misery?

Off Topic / Current Alan Moore Stuff
09 March, 2003, 01:50:38 AM
I have recently started getting back into American comics again, havinf just moved into an area that has a local comic shop (No back issues unforetunately).  I know that Alan Moore has four series on the go at the moment (Promethea, Tom Strong, Extrordinary League of Gentlemen and Top Ten).

I have the E.L.O.G. Book One Graphic Novel plus the first 4 issues of Book two, which I presume is the complete series so far.

I also know that there are Graphic Novels for the other three series available, but can anyone tell me the issue break down.  (i.e. Promethea Book One runs from Issue 1 to ???)

Thanks in advance
