It seems quite bonkers to jump into very modern dredd - thought we'd get some judge death or chopper first

I found them ok - I had 2 books replaced quickly & cancelled my sub within a couple of days. I found email worked pretty well. I only cancelled because I prefer buying the books individually. I'll re-sub if WHSmiths stops getting the MegaCollection in. I sold all the dented books on eBay so it worked out well

I liked Shimura but it's very heavy going in places. When the Simon Fraser art kicks in the book finds a new gear. I've always loved Duke Mighten's work - especially his Accident Man from the Toxic days. I wish he'd found a strip more suited to his style - I think his work was always distinctive & very imaginative. I really feel he has the individuality of a Kevin O'Neill - love his gaming designs now. Colin MacNeil's b&w stuff is stunning but I often found bits of the story confusing. I think the series would benefit from more Dredd of at least Dredd every other issue.

That's great news! Wonder what else will be in to make up the page count?

Another great prog with a slightly plain cover. Every story has something cool.

With this collection is there any link between the spine image and the contents? Devlin seems to line up but not Anderson. I'm guessing we'd need a very thin Fatty image for this plan to work.

I think I asked about darkside but there were no plans to reprint it

If Judge Child is 163 pages (thanks Barney) what else could be packaged up with this issue?

A bookplate is something you think you need. It's exciting to open. Then you have the anxiety of it getting damaged. Next you'll toy with the idea of framing it but decide it'll scare the children. One day you'll open the book without thinking and it'll blow away. It's pointless. I've ordered the special edition. I never learn.

Yes - it's a great volume. My only gripe would be that the Jock original art for Red Tide wasn't included. But instead there's a great Matt Smith intro & recent Sean Phillips 4 page interview. in the first episode there's a caption box "continues in page 26" - which oddly made me happy. I'm guessing this is from the original  megazine. AND DEVLIN IS ON THE SPINE! It's genius! Plus the promise of 2 more Devlin volumes

Great prog - every story had something cool. Loved Slaines vertical panels - took me back to Avatar's Courtyard. Dredd was great & Stront feels right. Sad about PYE but it's good to see talent move on. Looking forward to Absalom's return - it's been too long. Feels like the Prog has hit its stride...

Thanks - I'll track them down if they don't get reprinted.

Sorry "seperate" not "Esperanto" volumes! Is the Yeowell stuff good fun?
