Given Cyberleader's wonderfully unique grasp of the written word, I wondered - briefly, mind you - if his query was actually in reference to "Jap-Penis toys", lol?

Re that nasty cold/flu that some of the squaxx seem to have come down with: Years and years ago, I came down with something nastily similar and, in an inspired moment of self-medicating brillaince - as you do - I bought myself 3 litres of the finest Irish Whiskey money can buy and retired to me bed for three days straight, sipping gently away at the rate of a litre a day.

The bedsit I was in at the time was overlooking a park, and by the third day, one of the trees had uprooted itself and toddled over the road to rap it's branches against my window and have a conversation with me.

I can't really remember what we talked about - for obvious reasons! - but by God, those nasty flu germs were sent packing. Maybe not a cure for everyone but hey, it worked for me. Anyhow, hope all those of you who are currently under the weather will recover soon.

Hi Tordel,

Ye can put me down for Preacher Vol: Gone to Texas, if you still have it? I'm based in Dublin as well.

Cheers!

Prog / Re: Prog 1764: Customd & Exos

Hi Tordel, sorry to hear about your bad experience with those prats in Social Welfare. Hope that your complaint  to them yields some satisfactory result - an apology at least is what you should get, if you ask me. However, just in case that doesn't work out, then you should contact the Ombudsman. Their details are available at ombudsman.gov.ie

Best of luck with that anyway, and just to add that I completely agree with you on the healing merits of the Prog. Here's to another 12 months of Thrill-Power and a Happy New Year to you and all our fellow boarders.

Cheers! - Paddy Kafka

At least in Hell he'll have plenty of company like Hitler, Stalin etc and won't be singing about being "so ronery" anymore.

Help! / My Mouse is on Speed!
08 December, 2011, 01:37:05 PM
Hah! Thought that would grab your attention!

But seriously, I'm having serious problems with a jumpy, wireless mouse cursor on my Dell Windows Vista laptop. Fucking thing is bouncing around the screen like it's on speed. I've tried looking online but may as well be reading Chinese as figure out the "instructions" that are given. And Dell are a waste of space. Any suggestions much appreciated!  (It's taken me ages just to correctly configure this short paragraph, by the way.)

Cheers and thanks - Paddy

All the best re yer Grandad, SBT. Hope he'll get over what happened soon. Fingers crossed that the pond-life who robbed him are caught and given the "Justice" they deserve.

Film & TV / Re: Favorite Movie Soundtracks...

I'll second "Alien" and add to that the score for "Alien 3". Other faves are Altered States, Barton Fink, Fargo, The Omen, Rumblefish, The Thin Red Line, Three Colours Blue, the Batman "Dark Knight" movies, Star Wars -The Empire Strikes Back and Psycho. Also, in no particular order, some of the other scores mentioned - Conan the Barbarian, Blade Runner, Jaws, Requiem for a Dream, Taxi Driver, Company of Wolves and Morricone's Dollars Trilogy. Not forgetting the scores for Caravaggio, Belly of an Architect and The Piano. A few more that I can't recall right now 'till I check out my collection back home.

If there is such a thing as reincarnation, then I'm coming back as those hands on her thighs...with a pair of eyes attached to them...the hands that is...or even the thighs, now that I think of it...to be honest I'm drained of all lucid thought right now. Think I'll have to lie down for a while...
