I also like cakes.
But I can't frickin' stand French Fancies.
Believe me people, they are the work of Satan and should be fespised as such.

A must -see for me. Great to hear of Mr McCarthy' s involvement. 2 was my fave film in my younger days. I remember first seeing the trailer before watching Blade Runner and found myself awe-struck by the sheer reckless pace of it all. From what I've seen, Fury Road action scenes seem to be as kinetic as the first two.

Games / Surfin' The Meg

Wouldn't it be great if Rebellion made a Chopper game? Imagine zooming around the Mega - Cities, avoiding the law and boing fanatics and the usual Meg madness. It could use motion controls like the Kinect. A kind of Skate meets Dredd.
I'm surprised that Rebellion haven't capitalized on their 2000ad licences. We've had Dredd vs Death, Rogue Trooper and the Dredd vs Zombies games (plus those Spectrum games from yesteryear) so why not Chopper or ABC Warriors?

I enjoyed it. I particularly liked the 3D effects which makes a change for me. It seems that the gamble Marvel took with this movie - less well-known characters, differing style and direction - has paid off. The script is great; funny, well-rounded characters and sentiment without the schmaltz.

They aren't closing only restructuring. The news led to a difficult conversation with my ten year old daughter where I tried to explain what restructuring meant and failed miserably. Hopefully restructuring in Japan means more than it does over here - usually redundancies and a loss of quality.

Sad to hear the loss of the great Dick Smith, special effects make-up supremo. I used to read about his techniques in Fangoria back way back when.

Dark Angel was a Marvel UK strip from the 90's and recently resurrected in a mini series featuring other characters from the same era like Death's Head and Warheads.

Absolutely gutted my all-time comedy hero has gone. I've followed Rik since Kevin Turvey. Each generation has their comedy legends - Goons Python League Of Gentlemen - and The Young Ones were mine. It was great to see him return to the tv screen with Man Down. I can't be too sentimental about him because he would have hated that and given me a justifiable two fingered salute!

Had enough Nazi, or do you want some more?

I hope so too. Rosemary's and Damien will have the scope to carry a series but it will take a lot of work to fill out the usually meagre plot of a slasher film.
