After a fortnight suffering from severe conjunctivitis - swollen eyelids, mucus and eyeballs like something out of a cheapo Italian horror movie - the torture scene didn't go down to well with me either!

Did anyone notice the Watchmen colour scheme of the first scene in the comic book shop?

I had been listening recently to Journey Into Space on BBC 4 Extra in the 7th Dimension (Essential listening when on dish washing duties). It was entertaining in a retro/vintage kind of way.

Although I haven't read any of his recent stuff, I was a fan of his work, especially on the Hulk. I hope he'll make a full recovery.

Fontella Bass has sadly passed away. Rescue Me was a classic soul track.

Sad to see another genius of my childhood pass away in Gerry Anderson. I can dimly recall watching Fireball XL5 but it was the stuff from the late sixties/early seventies that I remember most. They were filled with such fantastic characters and machines. I mean, who could forget this:

I haven't submitted anything in a while but will probably send something in soon. Things have been a lot busier for Toothy this year what with the film, the anniversary, IDW and what have you. All we can do is be patient and in the meantime, keep our eyes and ears open for opportunities elsewhere.

Its a shame. He was a great man and a true intellectual who brought astronomy to the masses. And he was a Star Wars fan!

My beloved Lady S celebrates her birthday today and we are putting on a small family party later. I will be the oldest surviving member of the Lost Boys; the good Lady becomes an enchanting Witch, the little Princess will transform into an pesky Imp and the Lad will be an axe- wielding Demon from the Fiery Depths!
